After a dissapointed debut post "American Idol" last night, "Point Pleasant" moved into its new timeslot on Thursday nights with dismal results. It collapsed nearly 50% from its previous showing in the ratings to 5.6 Million viewers and a weak 2.7 in 18-49s, whilst "Joey" did well, but is still a shadow of its predecessor with 12.6 million viewers. "Point Pleasant" dropped 2.4 Million viewers from its lead in "The O.C" , off 30%. Considering The O.C only had 8 Million viewers, such a drop is worrying for the shows future. http://naturalflux7.com/forums/showthread.php?p=10297 |

Yeah it built on North Shore - but thats not hard considering Shore's abysmal ratings - and the fact that Pleasant premiered after Idol. I dont see this one sticking around |

I'm glad Point Pleasant flopped hard... They definitly pulled the plug from Tru Calling because of it. Although I wasn't able to see the series, can't beat Tru... It sounds lke a cheap rip off of Buffy, Roswell and all other teen SF series. |
