Thank you CBS for swiftly canning Laughlin and rushing this baby into schedule for November sweeps.

New season starts Nov. 4th, Sunday, 8 E/P.

The contestants are here (and there's a link in there for photos):

It's on at 8 (not the same time as Desperate or B&S).

As expected, the episode probably won't start until sometime past 8:30 ET. Damn Super Bowl XLI.5.

ETA: Make that 8:25 ET.

Aha I know, its great. So Goth couple is life, itself. The hotties from L.A are hot, and blah. The gay ministers are always fun. The 14 look alike couples are, okay. The black couple is really standing out this year. The grandfather and grandson, gotta go. Ahh Goth couple.

That was a fantastic season premiere. Just great. It helped to erase the bad taste of last season (I am *still* angry the BQs got robbed).

There were lots of interesting, diverse teams.

And one of the two screechy, obnoxious teams got eliminated, and the other one (Nate and Jennifer) came in second to last! Gotta love it.

Their donkeys were broken.

Great premiere, glad to see Ari and Staella eliminated. Their talk of backstabbing in the interview before the race started annoyed me, this isn't Survivor. RAAAAAACE.

Pretty much summed up my feelings. There's like, no team to hate outside of the one you mentioned! Of course, this means they'll come in second place at the end. :glare:

I'm currently rooting for either the married couple, the goths or the hippie-ish dating couple (Seemingly the only romantic couples to not bitch). So far, me likey.

Really good premiere. I am happy with the team that got eliminated. They were annoying as hell. Can't wait for next week!

Ari is a much more annoying and hateful version of Ross the Intern.

Heh, Nate and Jennifer. "NAaaTtTEee howwwwww MANY Doooo Weee HAAAaveeE???!!?"
Um, you're the one next to the donkey and the basket, you dumb fuck, LOL.

I love this show.

And Jason is my reality show boyfriend at the moment. His hair is purty.

I have decided "It's Okay, Run Them Over!" is my all-time favorite episode of TAR.

Oh, the memories of watching Colin and Christie self-destruct so spectacularly.

Good premeire. Right team got out. Goths are the best.

By the way, the prize vacation destination the #1 team got, Banff/Lake Louise, is a couple hours from where I live. Been skiing at LL a bunch of times, and Banff is seen as our competition as identical side by side national park towns. Kind of like a Shelbyville Springfield thing with a little more distance between. Pretty funny seeing hotels and landmarks I recognize on the freakin Amazing Race.

I heart the Goths. "It's Halloween every day! YAY!" They're pretty upbeat for Goths, lol.

Aw. Pat and Kate were some pretty nice ladies. Sorry to see them go.

In a troubling development, Ronald is a rather obnoxious father to Christina. I felt bad for her.

Nate and Jennifer were not any less screechy.

Despite this, this season is still great so far.

Pretty much summed it up.

The Goth couples, still my favourite. I also love um Jason and Lorena. Ronald needs to stop, he was annoying.. "The principle.." If I was his kid I would have BLASTED him by now.

Rather obnoxious is putting it lightly.

I really wanted them eliminated after tonight's display from Ron.

Still a good episode, I enjoyed the roadblock, Ditch Vaulting looks like fun.

Another reason I will miss Kate and Pat:

One of them said "We are religious, but we have no illusions about whether God wants us to win The Amazing Race or not." Why, that's a perfectly rational, applaudable statement! I'm surprised normal religious people got past the CBS casting department, considering they usually cast these annoying bible-thumpers who seem to believe that God wants them to win a reality show.

Rest of the teams:

Jason & Lorena: I don't have much of a feel for these two yet. I guess I'll learn more when Lorena loses her shit over milk next week.

Nate & Jennifer: Yes, they are very annoying. Her more than him, just because her voice is so whiny and she reeks of that annoying girlfriend who's always like "PAY ATTENTION TO MEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE." I hope they have to deal with more situations like the donkey, because they made me laugh last week when they completely sucked at moving it.

Shana & Jennifer: I dislike these two less than I thought I would, especially considering one of them is (bleh) Ryan Seacrest's ex and they came in with that tired "we'll use our looks" angle. However, they raced well and treated each other well, which I always like to see. They're no BQs yet, but I have no complaints with these two yet.

Kynt & Vyxsin: Another team that annoys me less than I would've suspected at the beginning. They don't seem to be overly pushing the goth angle on everyone, and they seem to be competent, friendly people, in general.

Nicolas & Donald: Another team I don't have much of a read on yet. I did feel bad for them when Ronald patronizingly lectured them.

Azaria & Hendekea: They work well together. Not much more to say yet.

TK & Rachel: Another (shock) team I can't really get a read on yet. They kind of sucked at this leg, although Rachel did a good job bringing them back.

Marianna & Julia: They've had very little to do so far. I feel like they could either go the way of Lena and Kristy (who had one of the saddest eliminations ever on this show) or Debbie and Bianca (smug women who get completely screwed by bad navigating). Essentially, I don't see them going far.

Ronald and Christina: Oh, dear. I just wanted to slap Ronald this entire episode. That was beyond annoying. He needs to cut that out, or I will be begging for their elimination immediately. It's too bad he's so annoying, because I like her. It reminds me of Peter and Sarah, where I thought he was a creepy douchebag but liked her. Christina has the patience of a saint, because if that was my dad, I would've lost it already. He makes me miss Gus (of Gus and Hera).
