Wow! Incredible! Season 5 sounds incredible. I hate to say it, but if this season pulls off being even better than Season 4, there may not be much else this series will be able to accomplish. As much as it pains me to say it, Season 5 might have to be the final season. I don't want 24 to die a slow, painful, 9th season death like most successful shows (The X-Files).

It was signed on for 2 more years so the 6th would be the last.

But if the 5th ends up being extraordinarily fantastic, they might as well end it on a creative high.

BTW, they already started taping on Monday. They like to use Pacoima/Burbank apartments here in the Valley for some scenes.

Hmm... well, I've doubted that they could top the previous season since the first season. I guess we'll wait and see.

More awesome news:

Sean Astin, Sam from the Lord of the Rings trilogy, reportedly joins the cast as a series regular. He will be playing a CTU employee.

YAAAAY  :shades:

So most of the people from last season will come back... presumably to die (Audrey, etc.)

If no one minds, I believe I'll start a pre-season five thread for "24". Along with Family Guy/American Dad and Prison Break, these are the three shows I'll control the information with this year. I think we have a lot of info. to talk of for the upcoming season, as well as DVD information, so I wouldn't want to keep many waiting. There's still four months of talking to do, but I think we'll all have plenty to talk of leading up to the January 8th/9th 2-night, 4-hour premiere.

:funny:

I don't want it to be stickied until January, but it would be nice to have a thread for Pre-Season 5, since this is technically a Season 4 thread.

I'm calling it early: Season 5, single greatest season ever in the history of television.

 I have NEVER anticipated a season of television more in my life. Not even The X-Files could do this to me, and that is the only show that rivals 24 as my favorite TV show of all time.

Now at 4am-5am episode, but have to get this of my chest.

It's incredible how awful almost all the 'field agents' not named Jack or Curtis are. It was so frustrating watching them dying because of incomptetence.

With that said, great season, and very much looking forward to 5.
