I was just trying to figure how they might handle it, seems unlikely Ryan will stay successful as his character generally has humor coming from bad things happening to him. About the resume idea, he went nights to a craptastic small town no name university. Maybe he lied and said it was an mba from somewhere good.

Hahaha YES I love it. Season 2 was also an awesome DVD cover (inside the box).

But so do much of the rest of the cast.

Well, both pretty much signify the biggest plotline of the season (The merger), so it's not too shocking.

They confirmed that there will be 5 hour long episodes in the coming season and that 4 of them will be the first four episodes of season 4.
Doesn't that seem a little unusual bunching all but one of them at the start? Maybe they are using that as a test to see if the show works as an hour format?

No, I'm pretty sure it's because Scrubs isn't starting until later in the season, and they needed something to fill the time with. Also, the guy who was replaced is the one who was saying the hour long episodes would be used during the hiatus. I think the guy who took over doesn't like that so much. Personally, I think the hour long as a regular episode like it's going to be for the first four weeks is a bad idea.

Re: 'The Office', Season 3 Thread
So I'm a new Office recruit.
I started watching it from the beginning a few weeks ago. My brother and I watch it together and we just can't get enough. We just finished season 2 last night (what a finale!) and were so impatient that we downloaded the season 3 premiere.
I've heard random things about season 3 here and there but I'm glad I haven't heard a single thing about Jim/Pam so I'm really curious to see where that's gonna go.
Is season 3 as good as season 2? We're gonna have to wait another 3 weeks for the dvd

This isn't about the office but I don't know where else to post it and I think some of you would like to see it. Jenna Fischer in a new music video for a song that's about a year old.

I think season 2 is a masterpiece, so to answer your question, no, I don't think season 3 is as good.
Season 2 was consistently great on an episode-by-episode basis, whereas for me, season 3 was hit-and-miss (though largely hit). And, as I'm sure you've discovered, even "miss" episodes of The Office are better than 90% of the stuff on TV.

That's a good way to put it. Season 2 of this show was the best season of anything on American TV I've seen this year.

i think season 2 and 3 are equal but i usually say 3 because it has the greatest episode ever, THE RETURN. Its just amazing.

Yeah... I don't think Season 2 can be topped if only because of the Jim/Pam relationship.
I'm gonna try to restrain myself and wait for the DVD release to watch the rest of season 3. I'm only up to episode 5.
"I wake up every day in a bed that it too small, drive my daughter to a school that is too expensive, then I go to work for a job that I get too little, but on pretzel day... well, I like pretzel day."
By far one of the best Stanley episodes.

by the way, for new fans who watched season 2 online - check out the dvds sometime, there are tons of deleted scenes that are as good as what aired. Like 8+ minutes on some of the episodes.
I like the baby blooper with Mindy, she looks so stunned that she messed up.

All fans of The Office should check out the DVDs. There are SOOOOOOOOOOO many deleted scenes for EACH episode... and most are, yes, as good as what was left in the episode.
