Did anyone catch this CBS science fiction series that airs on Fridays at 9/8 central? It stars Carla Gugino, Charles S. Dutton, Brent Spiner, and Peter Dinklage. It's created by David S. Goyer (Blade, Batman Begins). Is has to do with an alien invasion. The two-hour pilot debuted this week. It was intriguing, mixing mystery with little bits of humor. I hope the show gets good ratings because it has the potential to be the best of the three invasion series (The other two being "Invasion" and "Surface").

Don't hold out too much hope. While we're still 48 hours from the OFFICIAL season, Threshold failed to really capture strong ratings for its opening episodes. If erosion hits next week, I wouldn't hold out hope.

According to Zap2It ''Treshold'' actually grew in its second hour from 5.3/9 to 5.6/10.

The second episode revolved around a military academy and its connection with the alien threat. It featured some sharp writing, gory action (for a TV show), and a solid cliffhanger. I'll definitely keep watching.

Early on, I was hearing that this was the best of the season's supernatural shows, but Invasion seems to have stolen its thunder.

And speaking of 'threshold,' THAT'S one of my favorite words.

For reasons that I still don't quite understand. I find that Invasion is so slow compared to Threshold. With Threshold there's something interesting going on during each scene, with Invasion I had to wait until the last 5 minutes of it to get interested. The kids in the military school tonight were creepy. Very creepy.

The ratings for the second episode held well from week one with a 5.6/10 in overnights. It looks like the show might be here to stay which is great. I agree with Agentx, it is a nonstop show with something intriguing occurring often.

Has anyone been watching this? For my money, it's one of the most purely entertaining new shows. The cast does a great job.
