Now that summer is over... Are you finding yourself a little desperate?
Desperate to get away from the kids? Desperate in light of a heavy study load?

Fear no more, the sizzlin women and macho men from Wysteria Lane are back!

Desperate Housewives
Season 2 Premieres Sunday, September 25 @ 9:00pm on ABC

There are various new promos circling on TV and on the internet including the "Juicy" Season 2 promo.

Where we last left off...

*Mike finds out his girldfriend some 16-18 years ago, Dierdra (the woman whos body was found chopped up in a toy chest), had a child. He returns home while Zach (presumably the child in question) waits inside with a gun, holding Susan as hostage.
*Bree receives a call from the hospital informing her of the passing of her husband while also dealing with her son's sexuality and behavioral problems throughout the season.
*Lynette's attempts at keeping her husband near home for work causes him to quit. she now has to face beeing the breadwinner of the household while Tom becomes a stay at home dad.
*Gabrielle is pregnant (with who's child is still unclear) while her husband is starting an 8 month prison sentence.
*New, msyerious neighbors move in (a mother and her son).

Rated the best new show last season (as well as the best debuting show in several years ratings-wise), Desperate Housewives will surely continue to top the charts and monday morning discussions at work and school.

Who has been watching and will tune in to the season premier??
What do you all expect from Season 2?

The big season long mystery will of course revolve around the new housewife (played by Alfre Woodard). The actress claims it's something that no one will ever suspect and that no one will ever think of. Any thoughts on this and what else might come around this year on Wysteria Lane?

She'll sticky it. I think it's her favorite show.

Edie BETTER have a bigger role this season.

I have to say that Alfre is the PERFECT person to cast to join in the cast as a mysterious stranger. She has this natural mystery to her in whatever she does. Methinks she's Edie' Momma!

even if it's minimally more, I think she will. Her son comes into the picture. I guess she had mentioned it once suring the season and so they're bringing in more for her to do. Plus, her home (burned to a crisp by Susan) will be ready to move back in to.

A story that's really lame, but I KNOW for a fact is coming back is Susan's mother. I know it brings old people to watch the show too, but at least make it more interesting. It was fine for one episode, but someone like Betty White would be more funny to watch. To see Betty White and Bree argue would make for some GREAT television. Betty White wouldn't hesitate either to call Edie a slut, Gabrielle a whore, Lynette a nutcase, Susan a loser, and Bree as prison bi%@% material. Betty White MUST come on this show. Maybe she can be one of the others' mothers. Edie maybe?

Betty White is on Boston Legal, the best show on TV.

Is the season premiere for Desperate Housewives this week or next?

Season 1 Inquiry... or major wondering....

I always had this question in the back of my head and don't know why I never brought it up. It basically is the cause of the whole investigation that goes on throughout Season 1 and probably the most important key to figuring out the whole Deirdra mystery or case.

Paul and Mary-Alice chopped up Deirdra and put her in Zack's toy chest and then placed it with the cement that would become the bottom surface of their swimming pool.

WHY on earth would Paul drain the pool, break the concrete floor of the pool and unearth the toy chest only to throw it in the river????

I mean, what is up with that??? It was hidden in a place where, seriously, nobody would EVER find it for at least half a century or until after he was dead and Zack long gone,... the case forgotten. He actually thought that dumping the chest in the river would make it safer than leaving it under the concrete flooring of the pool??

I understand and accept that it was an important element in the plot and what set in motion the whole investigation or at least pieced it together with the concurrent investigation being done by Mike Delfino. But, did they ever explain why he unearthed it or are we supposed to accept it as one of those don't-ask-it's-TV questions???

I forgot to mention this. I saw Kelly Monaco (*drool*) on some entertainment show late last night, and she was saying that they are trying to work something out right now between her and the show. Not sure if she meant guest star or regular/semi-regular. I'm guessing something like Bob Newhart and Lesley Ann Warren. Perhaps the show isn't satisfied with their astronomical ratings and want to try to appeal more to a younger demographic?

bump.

This starts tomorrow night!
I can't wait... it was completely overshadowed by the LOST premiere for me.

the commercials and tv spots haven't been that great for the premiere. Then again, Housewives commercials weren't always the best. But I know the show will deliver nontheless.

I really wonder what ratings and viewers it will get... if CSI opened to 28+ million viewers, I'm confident housewives can muster at least 25-26+ million

I don't feel it for the premiere. I don't know why, but I was far more excited for the "Lost" premiere. I was probably a little more excited to see "My Name is Earl" and "The Office", actually. I want to see the show, and am anticipating it, but not as much as I had hoped.

I don't think Housewives will beat CSI in the long run. First episode? Yeah, probably. But, I think it will probably be neck and neck all year with CSI. And no Best Comedy win at the Emmys might hurt a bit. I just wish "Lost" was doing better than Housewives.

Kelly Monaco? Please, God, no.

I think Kelly Monaco though pulls the older demographic (daytime soap star).

Hmmm, if CSI can get 28 million viewers, and Lost 23 million, I'm sure DH can do better than both.

Except when a show is THAT big it's hard to get any bigger.

Prediction: 31.5 million viewers.

(Betty White would be fantastic!!!!!!!)

I think Pamela Anderson should appear on a four or five episode arc as, say, Bree's odd couple-esque sister. That would be hilarious. Especially since she was originaly offered the role of Susan before Terri hatched it up ;)

As for the premiere, I'm expecting big things. The newsmagazine and entertainment shows have been buzzing about it all summer and big shows coming into their sophmore year only tend to get bigger (ie CSI, American Idol, Lost). I say come Monday morning, ABC should have about 30 million reasons not to be desperate again.
