I have no idea. But he was being quite the douche since they SAVED HIS LIFE. Just go along with it, man. Stop being a dick.
Corey Stoll is still the main/only? reason to watch this. He's great.

Corey Stoll is still the main/only? reason to watch this. He's great. I thought his character was annoying and almost as bad as Nora. The only characters that were interesting is Abraham, Fet and that nazi guy

Re: The Strain (Season 1)
It is odd how some weeks they show how bad the city is getting... but other weeks it seems fine and hardly any terror in the city?
I know the internet is down, but COME ON, people would be FREAKING OUT. There needs to be more city-wide terror. BRING ME HORROR.

Re: The Strain (Season 1)
I am rather excited for this to return. I have a gut feeling (apropos, I admit, of nothing) they will fix the first season's flaws and expand upon its stylish strengths. I dig the poster:

Re: The Strain (Season 1)
I enjoyed the season premiere. Eph is still a fairly boring protagonist, but I found it otherwise well-paced and populated with multiple cool action/horror moments. LOVED the Gothic prologue showing the history of this incarnation of the Master.

Re: The Strain (Season 1)
The series still seems confused as to how apocalyptic this situation is, though. It always seems on the verge of depicting a vampire-centric social collapse, but then they show a press conference or introduce an eager-beaver realtor with EPA documents.

Re: The Strain (Season 1)
Honestly, this season has been pretty lackluster, but Quinlan is a really badass character and I hope he's in ALOT more episodes. Him wrecking those little kid vampires in last nights episode is easily the highlight of the season so far.

Re: The Strain (Season 1)
I dig this season. Maybe a bit more than the first. It is a shade more focused and suspenseful. And the Quinlan character is incredibly promising. I already want a prequel series focused on him in Ancient Rome. I will say, though: I miss the Master's old (gigantic, deformed) form. In the body of the goth-rock musician, he is a bit...normalized? More just another vampire.

Can someone bite that kid so we don't longer see him, ever. I know his pubescent behavior has died down, but still, he really annoys me

Seriously. Now I know the hatred that some people feel for Carl in TWD. THIS FREAKING KID.

Re: The Strain (Season 1)
This is such a strange series. It has a lot of undeniable qualities. There are a couple very vivid characters (Setrakian, Fet, Eichhorst, now Quinlan). There is potent atmosphere, and there are inspired action-horror set pieces. It is a well-crafted piece of television on every technical level. And I enjoy it in general.
But it can never entirely find its groove. Twenty-one episodes have aired, and the writers still seem unsure exactly how apocalyptic their portrayal of the vampire-infested city should be. And the storytelling bogs itself down so severely at times: consider the entire mundane subplot focused on whether Palmer will confide in his young assistant/"girlfriend" (egad). Who cares?

Re: The Strain (Season 1)
Not sure why they were randomly introduced halfway through the second season, but the new opening titles are sweet.
A fun episode in general. Lots of action and lots of Eichhorst.

Re: The Strain (Season 1)
Not sure why Setrakian is allowed to go anywhere by himself. Any time he gets a shot at the main guys, his speech always goes long and he gets shoved out of the way.

Re: The Strain (Season 1)
Final season is all right so far. Gus continues to have screen time/a devoted subplot, lol. But I am interested to see how it ends.

Re: The Strain (Season 1)
I'm enjoying this season so far. I was so in and out with the last two seasons that honestly I can barely remember what happened in them outside of certain characters dying, but it seems like this season there's a lot more momentum to the story. It might just be because it's the final season, but I'm very curious to see how it all ends.

Re: The Strain (Season 1)
I enjoyed seeing the Master in his giant form again. Much scarier than in the body of Jonathan Hyde's character.
It is a bit annoying how the fact New Horizons is a human-blood-harvesting facility is treated as this incredible revelation, at least for Eph. As if he truly expected the vampires were running a collective farm...
