Re: Which series will end next season?
I actually meant it one way: if OUAT goes, Quantico goes, but not necessarily the other way around. Quantico just doesn't seem like a show that will have imrpoved or stable ratings in season 2.

Re: Which series will end next season?
Well, "Nashville" and "Castle" are gone already.
Looking at the ratings development for "Quantico", I have a hard time believing it will survive Season 2. In its first season it has already fallen on "Nashville"'s level and I doubt that will get better.
"The Real O'Neals" and "Agents of S.H.E.L.D." probably won't survive the next season either. With The CW getting "Supergirl", they definitely have another strong show in the fold, so getting rid of "Reign"m "The Vampire Diaries" and "The Originals" seems more and more like a no-brainer.

Re: Which series will end next season?
The CW seems content with giving their lesser performing shows four seasons - with that in mind "The Originals" and "Reign" will definitely end next year. "The Vampire Diaries" is definitely gone too, mostly because Kat Graham and Ian Somerhalder have both gone on the record as saying they are leaving/want to leave after season 8.
"Quantico" is a huge DVR performer and if Priyanka continues getting the media exposure she has in the past year in the U.S. market I could see them keeping it for her.

Re: Which series will end next season?
Once Upon a Time and Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. may have reason to be nervous once the 2016-2017 season is over, seeing what just happened to Castle and Nashville. The new president at ABC doesn't seem to care all that much about corporate synergy.

"Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D" will definitely be gone after next year.

Re: Which series will end next season?
If NBC's new series prove to be hits, they'll need to lose some baggage.

Re: Which series will end next season?
Well, we know now that "Grimm" and "The Vampire Diaries" are ending. I don't see how "The Originals", "Reign" or "Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D." can continue either.
"Quantico", "Once Upon a Time" and "How to Get Away with Murder are toss-ups. I think all three will be cancelled after this or next season.

Re: Which series will end next season?
The Blacklist is in trouble, it had the lowest rating for NBC scripted shows this week

"Blacklist" is a huge DVR gainer so it's safe. No way it doesn't get at least 100 episodes.

Re: Which series will end next season?
As long as Viola keeps getting nominated for Emmys for "HTGAWM" they will keep it going. They wouldn't piss off Shonda like that.
I think "OUAT" and possibly "Scandal" will end after this year.

Re: Which series will end next season?
Also, Netflix' deal with NBC for "The Blacklist" is huge. I believe they are paying $2 million per episode. It will stay.
As for "Scandal", I remember Shonda saying this year or last year that she plans to end it after 8 seasons, so maybe it will stay.

I wonder how long these contracts last? Netflix paid a record breaking price for the Blacklist after its first season when it was a top 5 rated network show and top 2 drama. Also at this point Netflix's philosophy has greatly moved away from third party content, though they did just sign a big deal with the CW.

Re: Which series will end next season?
NBC must still consider "The Blacklist" a valuable show if they just ordered a spin-off series.

Re: Which series will end next season?
I just read with DVR and L+7 numbers the season premiere was still watched by over 11 Million people. It's in no danger.
And for the record "How To Get Away With Murder" was watched by almost 9 Million with that factored in.

Re: Which series will end next season?
How does a network benefit from DVR numbers?

Re: Which series will end next season?
I mean sure it has a fair enough chance to make it for some of the reasons listed, but you can't convince me that the lowest rated scripted show on a network is perfectly safe, if they want to debut new dramas next year some have to go. The Blacklist is doing worse numbers than Blindspot and the latter is the one with no lead in

"Blindspot" will most likely fall below it as well.
