My god, it's about time Meredith was willing to dive head-first into her various issues. Thank you, Therapist Lady!

Regina Taylor as the woman with the tumor "living the fairy tale" was heartbreaking.

That was such a sad storyline. I wanted her to wake up! =(

I like McDreamy with Rose. I've never really been a fan of Derek+Meredith. Always just seemed annoying.

The storyline with the woman who had the tumor was just about the saddest thing that's been on this show since the death of Denny. :tears:

Fantastic episode tonight. Can't wait for next week's season finale.

Grey's is now, officially, back to form. That was a great episode.

Can someone please summarize the last 15 minutes of last week's episode. I had to leave, and missed it. I got to the part when they told Dr. Shephard that the black cancer lady's "dream" boyfriend is a real guy. Pleassse!

I don't remember eevveerryyything (my memory sucks!) but complications happened during her surgery. She didn't die like all their other test patients have, but swelling happened in her brain and she's gonna be in a coma forevah, so said McDreamy. There was an emotional scene later with her boyfriend crying while holding her hand. It was pretty sad. Meanwhile, Meredith sort of let go of McDreamy and he decided to pursue Rose. And then she went to her therapist and finally decided to open up about her past.

So many good things in that finale. For one, it was generally upbeat. I feel like last season's finale was equivalent to a funeral.

Can. It. Be? Meredith and Derek finally back together PERMANENTLY? Let's hope so, maybe because the two of them are much more appealing when they're not whining about each other.

In other "can it be?!" news, Meredith also resolved some of her issues. Amy Madigan's therapist is like my all-time favorite character for making Meredith finally shut up already.

The young woman who prevailed over her tumor was awesome. That actress did an excellent job.

I suppose it was inevitable Grey's would eventually add a lesbian relationship to the mix. And, aw, Sloane played matchmaker in his own little way.

Lexie and George have a nice relationship. I hope that odd reaction Lexie had to George's little peck didn't mean anything, though. A romance (shudder) between the two of them...I cannot deal with something like that. I've barely recovered from Gizzie.

Cristina finally stopped being a nasty bitch and seems back to being...an awesome bitch. Love it.

Bailey...so wonderful in the scenes with boy in the cement. Emmy for Chandra Wilson, please.

I've always been an Izzie-Alex shipper, really. I hope that goes somewhere interesting.

I'm the opposite towards your two thoughts. I love Lexie and George, and don't like Izzie and Alex. I know there's always been something but.. eh, they don't do it for me.

Overall, like Libs said such an upbeat finale. The show sometimes can be such a downer, but this was kinda fun, over all though it was really good.

Sloane was quite nice, and found something good to do in this episode.

Meridith is finally shutting the HELL up and resolving her God damn issues. About time. I hope to God her and Derek get back together for good, enough of the games.

The boy in cement was fun. The girl who survived the brain tumor, overacted sometimes but was generally really good.

Izzie's hair needs to go, it bothers me, outside of that she didn't have much to do.

Again overall, really good. The show is back to the way I loved it in the beginning.

Post Re: "Grey's Anatomy" (Season 4)
The season finale was absolutely phenomenal and the best episode of the season. I actually felt it was better than the Housewives finale, which is saying something since that was a fantastic episode as well. So many great moments and an actual happy ending for once reminded me why I fell in love with this show in the first place. All of the storylines were great and intriguing. The kid in the cement was really great and I loved Bailey's interactions with him. The two people with the brain tumors were also excellent and their storyline made me tear up a bit for sure. And there were so many major developments in this episode as well. LOVED the fact that both Meredith and Derek (permanently) and Alex and Izzie finally reunited, and the development of Hahn and Callie's relationship was great as well. In fact, the entire final moments were awesome. I also loved the Cristina storyline and I thought the scene where she told off Hahn was fantastic. The George-Lexie storyline was cute and enjoyable. And I felt so bad for Alex and Rebecca - it was really heartwrenching and I seriously think Justin Chambers gave his best performance to date in this episode. The final scene with him and Izzie was really powerful. And Chandra Wilson was, once again, amazing.

This episode really did have it all - comedy, drama, romance, a great soundtrack (LOVED the song "My Hometown" that played in the middle - I downloaded it right away and could easily see it becoming a trademark song of the series like "Chasing Cars" and "How To Save A Life"), phenomenal acting, great writing. This show is back on track in the best way possible, and I'm beyond pumped for the fifth season - which should be great given this new direction.

I loved this season overall. I'd say pre-strike it was probably an A- for me, but all of the post-strike episodes have been classic Grey's and the finale was beyond excellent. So a definite A for the season.

Didn't hear what board said only 1 more trial but shouldn't everyone be in alot of trouble - or is it OK since the person lived, luckily.

Loved the scene where the Chief was going to yell at Meredith and she yells back at the Chief and talks abouit her Mother.

Derek and Meredith ending was nice.

Liked Christina & Lexie and the Banana.

Lexie and George, no - maybe Lexie is going to take over for the crazy Meredith.

Callie - Hahn > blah.

Alex - Izzie > No.

Poor Rose.

idk about the finale you guys. I was talking about it with a friend, and I didn't realise how hard it was to process. This didn't feel like a season finale at all, everything seems to have cleaned up really well. That is not the Grey's we know. It was a fantastic episode, but last year we had Meredith taking Cristina out of her wedding dress, it was emotionally heartbreaking.

i kinda hate Isiah Washington not because of what he said, but the consequences of what he did. The show needs a Burke, not a Hahn. I watched Season 3 all on DVD at once, so I got over Gizzie quick

I really hope Derek gets into an accident, cuz I'm getting sick of his character. I hate MerDer together.

Alex/Izzie is what should have happened in the first place. Denny Duquette was the shittiest thing to happen to her character.

Hahn/Callie, i hate it. Doesn't seem realistic for her to be totally sexually infatuated with a guy to suddenly wanting to be with a girl. There has been no hints about her lesbianism since the lead up for this, excluding the post-strike eps.

George honestly should have been a closeted gay character. This has nothing to do with TR being gay in real life, but having Zero chemistry with any of the female cast, except when it comes to friendship.

And would someone give Chandra Wilson a goddamn Emmy.

I liked the episode a lot, but what an incredibly stupid ending with the candles and all. Just took me right out of the moment.

It's been pretty obvious for a while that Lexie was going to develop a crush on George. I like it, much more natural than Gizzie ever was. That was just forced on us all and made no sense, George/Lexie does.

honestly it was a pretty predictable episode. I mean the path has been set for weeks for all of this to happen, nothing was really shocking or exciting. As for the George/Lexie thing, i think they got great chemistry together plus I just really like the Lexie character. The Izzie/Karv thing kind of bothers me because I never felt they worked.

I thought the Dr. Hahn/Torres kiss was a nice twist. I was getting tired of Torres and Dr. Sloan.
