Things that could be included in that 29 minutes:

-Gunnar Jensen's daughter was supposed to be in the movie.
-All the splashes of blood.
-Banderas' "Insane. Courageous, but insane" line (and perhaps a few more that were cut).
-More dialogue between Snipes, Statham and Stallone in the cockpit. In the trailer, Snipes says "Lots to digest", which doesn't feature in the film.

Anyway, I remember seeing that Patrick Hughes said the first cut of the film was 2.5 hours, so the extra 29 minutes is not a real big surprise for me. But I am looking forward to it.

Totally does. I haven't seen Red Hill yet, but judging by the response to that film, Patrick Hughes knows how to make a good film, so here's hoping his cut is as good as The Expendables.

Wipe your mouths now ;) It's six minutes longer, not 29 minutes. I don't know why BOM has its running time at 103 minutes, but the film is over two hours. IMDB, Wikipedia, Fandango and every single movie theatres around me confirm the running time at 126-127 minutes.

I got carried away with myself. I even knew it was 2 hours long.

Still, six minutes!! Might improve it a lot.

Meh, make it 6 minutes full of Mel Gibson in badass mode and I'll be happy.

I don't think Mel Gibson gets much more screen time than he had in the theatrical version. There's no way the Stallone-Mel fight could have been any longer.

That's awesome. The UK and France regularly have cooler alternate DVD covers/cases than other markets. It's all about the store which gets the deal. I used to get loads of exclusive covers from HMV. Now I see Zavvi are doing it. Good stuff.
