The exclusive packaging is such a con. It's just that selfie couple on top of the usual poster.

Re: The DVD/Blu-ray Rental and Purchase Thread
How is it a con? It's the same price as the regular 2D copy and it has more features. And if what you said is the case, that's two different artworks in one copy. Two different artworks plus more features for the price of a regular copy?
Those fuckers!

Re: The DVD/Blu-ray Rental and Purchase Thread
Oh, I didn't mean a con as in people are being ripped off, just in the wording "exclusive packaging". It is such a small modification, to present it as if the customer is actually getting something new or original of value is what I was referring to as the con.

The regular pack was $22.99.

There are these things called bookshelves that can sometimes be used for things other than, or in addition to, books. But yes, yes I do. I'm not well organized.

I really am curious, as my mother is a DVD\VHS hoarder. Are you going to run out of space eventually? How many times will you watch a film you have purchased? How fast/often do you give them away or get rid of them? Is it just a hobby to collect them, or do you honestly really like all of the films you purchase? Do you buy films blind?

Re: The DVD/Blu-ray Rental and Purchase Thread
Think of them like books. zwackerm wrote: Are you going to run out of space eventually? Yes. But we also all die eventually. They're 135mm wide (the Blu-ray's). It's not like we're talking about a lot of space, especially if you stack them in those bookcases I mentioned. Quote: How many times will you watch a film you have purchased? At least a couple of times, unless it's a blind buy and wound up betting poorly. More on that in a sec. Quote: How fast/often do you give them away or get rid of them? Haven't...yet. I've thought about and eventually will sell back my DVD's (minus TV shows). With Blu-ray, I haven't watched a DVD (of a movie) in years. Quote: Is it just a hobby to collect them, I love movies, so yes. Quote: or do you honestly really like all of the films you purchase? Purch ase, implying present tense? Yes, because... Quote: Do you buy films blind? Almost never now, unless it's a blind spot from a director I love (The Insider and Everybody Wants Some being the most recent examples - the latter I wouldn't have got if it was below 70) or a classic (Gone with the Wind).
