Bon Jovi's darkest, most mature, and IMO, best album. For the first (and probably last) time, there was a recurring sense of despair throughout a Bon Jovi record. This Ain't a Love Song wasn't a very good first single, but Something for the Pain, These Days, My Guitar Lies Bleeding in my Arms, Damned, Bitter Wine, and Diamond Ring are all brilliant.
