He has also said he is willing to testify against Trump. This is pretty damning.

Whether anything else happened or not, if he knew anything, why would he have made such an obvious lie?

Because he thought he could get away with it, it is arrogance.

They always listen to those calls. It was basically impossible to get away with it. It seems that he didn’t think it was important.

So it is over a year since Trump was elected as the prez. I have to say, it's been pretty uneventful. I thought it was going to be absolutely crazy with wars left-right-and-centre, scandals upon scandals, crazy shit happening. But nothing. So disappointing.

Sounds like Flynn didn't do anything wrong talking to Russia as part of his job and talking them down after Obama's retarded sanctions when he had two weeks left as president. But he lied to the FBI about it

I can't be certain whether he is just being a compulsive liar. At least about Comey and Flynn.

My YouTube recommendations are full of US political shows now. Recently I've been watching a lot of Real Time with Bill Maher and general Bill Maher interviews. Talks a lot of sense, and I love how he almost always understands the bigger picture better. Experience and understanding history certainly give him an edge in rational thinking.

Realize this is all he plead guilty to. They gave him a light sentence so he could cooperate with the investigation. We have no idea what he has told Mueller at this point.

Democrats win a huge battle against themselves as Al Franken resigns.

Meanwhile Roy Moore stands strong with his "yeah I fucked a few 16 year olds, what of it?" attitude and will continue to push the conservative agenda.

I was feeling good about Dems taking atleast the Senate back, but they don't seem to have learned anything from 2016. The New Era of politics just escapes them.

Roy Moore will still win. The GOP has always focused on the ends justify the means.

And that's the problem with we Democrats. We have standards. And the guys without the standards are able to win all the time, because we play by the rules and they cheat.

We need to stop being so high and mighty. You don't win if you're playing softball and the other team is playing hardball.

So what you're saying is, there should be a government to govern the government?

All the world's problems could be solved if everyone would just do what I say.

Who needs the moral high ground, anyway.

Damn, this is a close race (86% reporting). 49.3% versus 49.1%! The 1.6% who decided to write-in somebody else other than Moore or Jones will spoil this for one of them.

This could end up within the 0.5% margin to declare a recount, too.

Post subject:  Re: The Trump Era: The Awkward Mix of Libertarianism and Fas

:whaa: I think Jones is going to win this now. 49.7% versus 48.7%. 89% reporting with mostly blue counties still counting.

Amazing but Moore was the worst candidate in decades. Republicans hate him.

It gave me hope for humanity that Moore lost. He still hasn't conceded. There won't be an automatic recount, as there aren't enough votes left to get it that close.

A great comment I read: Steve Bannon, master strategist, couldn't get a Republican elected in fucking Alabama.
