The way the debt would be split, it would be mostly burdened on the regions with the higher populations that would vote it down. Even if he does manage to get enough votes, it will get shot down on the federal level because it will disrupt the political balance in the senate. Still it is an interesting topic to discuss, and I particularly like the throw to back Jefferson and the drive to split California right before Pearl Harbor distracting the movement from gaining any momentum. |

Not going to happen. They tried recently to do something similar in Colorado recently and it went nowhere. This obviously gets more play since it is California, but same issue. Reminds me of an article about people aligning and living near other people of their political party... |
