http://sustainableagriculture.net/blog/ ... dium=email In an unprecedented move, the Farm Bill, set to expire after five years as of September 30th, has been abandonded by House Republicans in favor of a paid vacation to campaign for re-election. This comes on the heels of the biggest drought since the Dust Bowl!!! It's unprecedented for a Congress to let the Farm Bill expire, stopping multiple agricultural programs dead in their tracks. The worst part is that this method of destroying the economy is a cynical re-election strategy Republicans have been planning ever since Obama was inaugurated. At what point can we call politicians deliberately sabotaging this country treason? |
