Re: Wetboro Asses win in the Supreme Court I wish that the court had adopted a more absolutist view of free speech. The case came down mostly as expected including the lineups.
I wonder if Justice Stevens would have joined the majority? I am thinking of his Texas v. Johnson (flag burning) dissent where he recalled his own military service.
I hope that Fred's own family protests his funeral. It would be what he wanted and just as irrational.

Them winning makes sense because freedom of speech is freedom of speech...but I don't think picketing funerals should be legal as it's borderline harassment, people have a right to dignity. If someone pickets Fred Phelps funeral I will be disgusted.
