That when he was the governor of Texas he never acted so stupid?

Frankly, Perry makes Bush look smart.

It's more that the governor of Texas is a cushy job that has no real power.

He is likley used to the Texas style of politics, which does not work in the rest of the country. Therefore he is acting very awkward and strange.

OWS has been going downhill and they have themselves to blame, they had huge public support but they lost it over the past month. People agree with the message but many now see the protestors as the other 1%.

Frankly. from the outside its easier to tell how screwed up the political system is. Its quite simple why there was no debt deal and why nothing will get passed in the short term. Both parties and yes even Obama are fixated on the 2012 election and using the existing problems and issues to demonize the other side. Its rather sad...
You likley agree with that but blame only the GOP, but there is no better man in Washington these days.

Also, its quite clear OWS have shot themselves in the foot.

I kinda thought the same at first, but the UC Davis fiasco has given them a lot of momentum again.

true, and I think kicking them out of the parks helped them a lot.
That really hurt their movement, however I do not think they will get the overwhelming praise and hype that they had in October.

When it comes to OWS, in Canada they movement is rather dead and a joke, so that distorts my view on the movement. For example in the US you actually see normal people protesting (not everyone is crazy free loving type or a hobo lol)
