She is beloved by the woke crowd, still very likable by others.

It will be impossible for DT to disassociate himself with the insane chaos of the last few months and likely coming months ahead, and that likely spells doom for his reelection. He has not proved a soul wrong.

He is losing absolutely no support though. His 40% think he has handled all this wonderfully, that all the problems are because of paranoid libtards and unreasonable black people. Dems will still have to show up. It Trump loses by only one state this will not be a smooth transition.

Re: Democratic Primary 2020: On to the VP hunt
Biden and the Dems are guaranteed to do better than Hillary 2016. Biden is more mainstream but further....Dems are motivated AF to get DT the fuck out. Their turn out will be light years better than 2016, especially if JB names Abrams, Harris, and Warren as his VP, AG, and Treasury Sec beforehand as rumored.
To win, DT will likely need to expands base significantly and that is not happening at all, in fact a large amount of the independents who supported him in 2016 are expected to abandon ship.

Re: Democratic Primary 2020: On to the VP hunt
Trump goes into a bunker during the protests (tweeting). Biden goes out to talk with the protesters.
Trump has yet to deliver a national address. Watch Biden step up to the plate and give one soon.
The contrast in which these two are handling this situation truly couldn't be more different.

Lol Trump turned off the white house lights, which is typically only done when the president dies.

This image is so bad. I don't think you can take a better picture depicting the lack of leadership right now. And what's he doing this morning? Tweeting, trying to dispute Biden's poll numbers.

I wonder what Biden's poll numbers are going to look like 2 weeks from now.

Any specific reason for such drastic measures from Trump? Were there riots besides the White House?

Ron Pearlman vs. Rep. Jim Jordan, for charity?
SummerSlam could use a celebrity match on its card.

Re: Democratic Primary 2020: On to the VP hunt
Some surprising results from today's primary races.
Rep. Carolyn Maloney (D, NY-12), House Oversight Chair, is in danger of losing her primary to challenger Suraj Patel (D), only 36-years-old. Her lead has shrunk all evening, and she only leads by 2% as of this post.
Longtime incumbent of 32-years, Rep. Eliot Engel (D, NY-16), is likely to lose his primary to challenger Jamaal Bowman (D). It hasn't been called, but Engel is losing by a considerable margin so far.
Madison Cawthorn (R), at only 24-years-old (not even old enough to hold a house seat yet!), defeated Trump-endorsed candidate Lynda Bennett (R) in a landslide victory. This was Mark Meadows (R), former chairman of the House Freedom Caucus, district before vacating to become Trump's Chief of Staff.
And on the Senate side there's the voting mess (90% of polling locations closed, doors being shut, people having to literally run to the polls, etc.) happening in Kentucky to see who will challenge Sen. McConnell in November. Amy McGrath (D) seemed to have the primary locked up, and with more cash on hand than McConnell, was looking strong until her momentum came to a screeching halt in just the past couple of weeks. Charles Booker (D) then suddenly gained all the momentum in the primary race just very recently, including endorsements from many prominent liberals and progressives (Sanders, Warren, among others), and is looking to possibly upset McGrath and challenge McConnell instead.

Will we see an anti-incumbent wave in the light of the pandemic, recession, and protests?

Re: Democratic Primary 2020: On to the VP hunt
Probably, at least in diverse districts.
Update on the races I mentioned on Tuesday:
Rep. Eliot Engel lost his primary, and seat of 32-years, to primary challenger Jamaal Bowman. Engel kinda screwed himself though by being caught on a hot mic saying he wouldn't care about all this if he didn't have a primary... Referring to the protests, I presume. Still, even a moment like that typically doesn't sink an incumbent of three decades, so that tells you how different this movement really is.
Rep. Carolyn Maloney held off young primary challenger Suraj Patel. It was by a 19-point margin, so not nearly as close as early vote counts indicated. Still, it's uncommon for incumbents in primaries to be challenged like this.
And the Senate primary race in KY between McGrath and Booker hasn't been called with a large number of votes still outstanding. Booker currently has a 3-point lead with almost 80% reported. If Booker does manage to win this primary race, what a story that would be. Just a month ago (actually, as long as last year) McGrath was the presumed candidate to take on McConnell, and was receiving tons of support from endorsements and donations in order to beat McConnell (she has more cash on hand than him at this moment), but everything changed after the protests began.

Re: Democratic Primary 2020: On to the VP hunt
Trump retweeted a video of a man yelling white power at him, calling him a fine person. Then when asked why he said he didn’t hear what the man said .. yet decided to retweet it anyways. If there was any doubt left. Though its very possible that he only did this to distract people from the breaking news that Putin put bounties on US soldiers and Trump knew about it.

With him being hot in the ratings right now, could the successor to Trump's votes in 2024 be... Tucker Carlson? Probably would lead to a lot of this:

True, the GOP does like to vote for media personalities that tell them what they like to hear as opposed to people who know how to be the president.

That's a striking image. Teargassing people to clear the way for a photo-op is NOT what a leader of the people does.

Re: Democratic Primary 2020: On to the VP hunt
Who is leading the VP shortlist now? Here is a list I found on Politico: Stacey Abrams Tammy Baldwin Karen Bass Keisha Lance Bottoms Val Demings Tammy Duckworth Michelle Lujan Grisham Kamala Harris Susan Rice Elizabeth Warren Gretchen Whitmer The betting markets have Harris leading, followed by Rice, Demings, and Duckworth. Who can feel the people and communicate well with them? Who speaks from the mind and heart? Who knows foreign policy and diplomacy?
