 Re: Project 2025

This is not out of context. He said it over and over again in one of his non-sentence tirades. Nate Silver stated is perfectly recently when he said DT is like a poker player who has held a huge chip load for a while, then lost a gigantic hand, and is now on full tilt. All of the discipline which was helping him in through 2024 is gone, The Republican Mayor of Mesa, AZ said it best: he simply does not trust Trump leave office in 2028 should he win in 2024, and that disqualifies him, end of story. DT would do himself well if he came and out just admitted his handled the 2020 loss badly etc, some people might even believe he means it, but he instead goes the other direction.

 Re: Project 2025
Project 2025 btw, has been completely and officially rejected by the Trump Campaign. They still intend to use their database of conservative activists, but the plan has been abandoned, and the former leader of the Heritage Foundation has resigned.

 Re: Project 2025
Looks like we are getting Project 2025 after all. Guess then whole bullshit about Trump not knowing about Project 2025 was just that: bullshit. The alarmists were right

 Re: Project 2025
Isn’t project 2025 a fairly normal conservative platform? I read part of it and it all looked like stuff Republicans have done in the past?

 Re: Project 2025
Um…what parts are they actually trying to implement? I’m sure there are similarities, there always were some, but the authors of Project 2025 are different than the Trump’s appointees in 2025. I’m not saying someone like Hegseth is better, or not worse, but certainly different. Project 2025 didn’t say anything about trying to rename the Gulf of Mexico.

 Re: Project 2025
Again, every arguably bad, or questionable, Trump policy isn’t “Project 2025”. Trump will do things that would never have been written in “Project 2025”. You can feel that Trump has worse ideas than “Project 2025”. But they are different.

There is a “Project Stargate”, but that’s entirely different anyway.

I don’t consider the Trump 2025 agenda to be a “Christian Nationalist” agenda. It’s a Republican agenda, but the main thing “Project 2025” had in common with Trump 2025 was executive power (which is predictable). They agree on certain political issues, but a minority of major Trump appointees were also authors of “Project 2025”. I expect it’s influence to decline in time.
