It wasn’t a landslide. It’s still a divided country, but he did sweep the battleground states and the election was the least competitive election of his run.

Hopefully by next election cycle something is done to stop the endless counting in California and Pennsylvania going on. And that went on in Arizona

This is the one area Florida is efficient. Florida pre counts all mail in and early votes and even starts counting Election Day votes as they come in. Other states don’t do this so as to not leak results prematurely. But think it is better to just pre count to avoid all of this going on

It always seems to be Democrat leaning votes they find a week after the election.

Can someone explain to me how Mike Garcia and likely Michelle Steel lose their house races when they comfortably win in 2022 and 2024 was nationwide and in California a good year otherworldly for Republicans? Makes no sense.

At least the New York Republicans being ousted makes some sense since Trump wouldn’t have pulled them up the ballot as much as Zeldin.

Besides Trump it wasn’t really a good year for Republicans. It was actually historically bad for a presidential win by such an electoral margin.

It was much better than 2016.

Ok, I should amend to both the popular vote and the electoral vote. Clinton’s states basically went to Kamala anyway. Point is that the difference, or change, in the congressional races compared to the recent past was low compared to the difference in the presidential race compared to the recent past.

Also, I’d bet that lower turnout, in a non-presidential election, in California, could help Republicans in many areas.

He wasn’t right about anything really besides maybe SNL. The Democrats didn’t have the horse? What about 2020? Pure gender conformity by comparison between Kamala Harris and Joe Biden. Plus, they had Tim Walz, so no, it makes no sense whatsoever.

Harris was a worse candidate than Biden or Hillary, she sucked at talking, contradicted all her past views, etc. The disconnect is that being a black woman made a lot of the progressives like her twice as much as if she was a white woman, when in reality it hurt her votes. If the candidate quality is seen as Biden > Hillary (yes half because of having a dick) > Harris the results line up perfectly in the three elections.

It's probably not his fault overall, but Walz is not as masculine appealing as Biden or a guy like Fetterman, it's a subtle thing in regards to his girations etc. Also he's the midwest version of if they took an asian VP and made him say things like "I get A- and my dad say why not A?" and "I play more video games than get girls in high school haha!" I heard a follow describe it as if a Californian was asked to describe a midwesterner.

lol, what does any of that even mean? There’s one type of “Midwesterner”? Those states have been swing states, the fact that Minnesota has been the most liberal state in the Midwest doesn’t change whether it is a Midwest state.

Walz was also a football coach, being a teacher as well doesn’t change that. Joe Biden is a politician who says things like “I’m not a military man”…but…and then suggests lying about the war against the Taliban in hope that the public illusion could help their war effort.

So basically you just seem to be trying to clarify that you don’t think voters want a black woman. I might add that among young voters, it was men who mostly voted for the male candidate.

Sorry, I just saw the headline. It’s a plurality, not a majority; under 50%.

Put it this way if a white woman was candidate and acted exactly like Harris she would have had no chance. Nor would they have picked her over Whitmer who would've given them blue collar appeal, a candidate wiping the slate clean from low polling Biden, and a candidate who in the last election won governor by 10% while in Harris last campaign she had the most embarrassing primary performance you can possibly have. The problem wasn't necessarily that people were racist against Harris, although they were, it's that even if you judged her neutrally she wasn't It, calling her another Kerry or Romney level mid inauthentic seeming politician is actually being generous to her. The Democrats got caught up trying to get twitter and TikTok energy on their side to ride a 2008 Obama type momentum, and it's cool on social media to cheerlead black people and clap harder for them than when white people do the same thing, which is actually racist to black people, not white people. But they ran into an issue in that this racial type view is slightly out of date in 2024 and is more of a 2020 thing and nowadays Palestine signalling is more popular.

Ok, well, your other post seemed pretty clear about race and gender.

Anyway, I know she was the presidential candidate because she was VP, that’s what I said before, so you shouldn’t expect me to disagree with my own point.

I don’t know what else you were trying to say besides repeating stereotypes.

And now you edited and added more; I have nothing more to say, besides that saying she’s a better speaker than Kerry is not being generous to her.
