I'd assume mynetworktv's ratings would be so low as to be meaningless, woudln't they? I doubt 90% of the public has even heard of it.

Today's ratings will be up soon.

Cool deal, plot! You are welcome to use these charts if you decide to chart the ratings. You don't have to use these, and I certainly wouldn't be offended if you came up with your own charts, but I was thinking about charting ratings weeks ago, but decided to just chart the Oscar contenders instead, and these have just been laying around, so you're welcome to them. I find the ratings interesting to follow.

Amazing for House.

I'm pretty sure these are the highest ratings Fox has ever had for any show that was not A) American Idol or B) immediately following American Idol.

Of course, House had no competition. It will be interesting to see what numbers it gets when the other networks come out of hiatus. And what sort of numbers it gets after the baseball hiatus.

Or C) The Super Bowl or D) a show following the super bowl.

As you all have figured out, I will not be posting MyNetworkTV ratings. I get the impression that they are not going to be regularly reported and are instead treated as ratings for cable channels. But since some of you are curious, I believe the primetime programming averaged a 1.2/3, which is on par with a night of UPN repeats, AKA horrible.

Where's that banner from in your signature? And more importantly, where's the picture of Kristen from?

The horrible CW "Free to be..." campaign. I've heard rumors of real promo pics somewhere out there, but I haven't found them yet. The banner I got from http://watchveronicamars.net

But yeah, very impressive for House. ;)

Of course, House had no competition. It will be interesting to see what numbers it gets when the other networks come out of hiatus. And what sort of numbers it gets after the baseball hiatus.

Where's that banner from in your signature? And more importantly, where's the picture of Kristen from?

The horrible CW "Free to be..." campaign. I've heard rumors of real promo pics somewhere out there, but I haven't found them yet. The banner I got from http://watchveronicamars.net

Awesome. One of those will work great as an avatar. Stephen Colbert as my avatar may need a break until VM starts.

Amazing for House.

I'm pretty sure these are the highest ratings Fox has ever had for any show that was not A) American Idol or B) immediately following American Idol.

Or E) The Simpsons or F) The X-Files or G) Joe Millionaire.

But yeah, very impressive for House. ;)

Yup X-files had an average 14.0 million household share back in 96-98 which I cant remember how many viewers it translates to but its over 20 million I think. Simpsons at its peak in 92 had a 14.5 million household share. So yeah both shows had average viewers as high back then but I cant remember the average for Married With Children which had ratings almost equal to Simpsons at its peak

The shows on MyNetwork are designed to run only 13 weeks (or around there) so they probably won't be canceled. If anything the whole concept of the English telenovela will be canceled by May '07 and replaced with MASH reruns or something.

How much of an increase is that over House's premiere last year? I knew it would debut big but I thought it would crack 20 million for some reason. Big Brother (which really should start at the end of June since the fall TV season keep starting earlier)held up well against it.

That seems like one of the highest ratings for Big Brother all season. It was a great episode so I can see why.

I read it was the highest-rated episode since 2004, surpassing all of BB6 and All-Stars. If so, that's great news, and definitely good for a Season 8 renewal.

The ratings are pretty good, so I don't get why once again, they are trying to get the show done earlier than originally planned. If the ratings are good, why cut the show down? Is it simply because Fall programming is dominating now? In which case, I do believe BB should start earlier in the summer like suggested (late June/beginning of July), and then finish out just before the Fall season starts.

I thought Big Brother would falter in the tuesday ratings because it was going directly against the House premiere. But as we can see, it did just fine.

PEACE, Mike.

The early end is probably due to a few things. I think CBS wanted an agressive premiere week, and BB stood in its way. That is likely the main reason. They would likely trade an average (compared to regular season) rated reality finale for a debut/season premiere.
