What makes you think so?....the fact that he loved Alice Through the Looking Glass? :funny:

I never knew Witherberry, but tree and a half doesn't seem to write reviews like him.

Witherberry is/was a sneaky cunt, though. He would alter his writing style for his many KJ personas (yes, he had many accounts before). So the allegation by David is a reasonable one. One thing that you cannot change so easily is your pride in your film taste, so liking shit movies gives Bradley away every time. ;)

I was thinking it before anyone else mentioned it. Quite obvious to me.

Alice Through The Looking Glass must have enchanted me. At least, that's the only way I can explain enjoying it so much when it got such terrible reviews. Or perhaps our culture still just has difficulty accepting a strong and smart female lead character in a Hollywood fantasy. Personally I loved the psychedelic steampunk design and I found the time travel story very engaging and dream logical. Unboundedly better than Alice In Wonderland. An ethereal *A*.

It was sealed as soon as he said an ethereal A. And then...

With a movie like Independence Day: Resurgence, ie: one that is merely good, there is a predictable pattern of response.

Those who see it in preview or opening day, before the groupthink** trend to love or hate it has been established, either write their honest opinion or hedge their bets by writing a review that can be later interpreted as positive or negative.

I liked the movie even though it had its flaws in the first half.

However by Sunday of opening weekend, after most of the professional reviews are in and the box office trajectory is confirmed, the trend-riders come out and the piling-on begins.

This movie is hot, stinkin' garbage.

What a load of drivel.

After you recognize this phenomena, it becomes easy to spot. Combat groupthink. Watch for it. Point it out.

(**Groupthink is a psychological phenomenon that occurs within a group of people in which the desire for harmony or conformity in the group results in an irrational or dysfunctional decision-making outcome. Group members try to minimize conflict and reach a consensus decision without critical evaluation of alternative viewpoints by actively suppressing dissenting viewpoints, and by isolating themselves from outside influences.)

"Groupthink" is my least favorite of many Bradley Witherberry buzzwords.

It's pretty obvious. At the very least it's a Bradley remake.
