The upgrade looks really nice...

Is there a place where a user can go to find answers to questions like, can we still quick reply? How do you use these new youtube buttons? Stuff like that.

There's a stickied thread "Small Faq about new board" in Water Cooler. But now thinking, prolly better place for it would be here.

Anyway, some questions are answered there. About quick reply, prolly not until final version of the board comes out.

viewtopic.php?f=10&t=33298

Any other questions, post here, there, doesn't matter.

Cheers.

Or make it a board wide bulletin for a little while if it is that helpful of a thread.
Thanks.

What's up with these users?:
Google [Bot], Yahoo [Bot], MSN [Bot]

I assume they are bots but how did you get them to be marked as users like that as opposed to guests or not users at all?

Can you tell I'm thinking about a new forum for my site?

Not sure what those little bastards do, but I'm pretty sure it's nothing malicious. Or I'm just naive.

Think they "gather" all the pages here...maybe for their search?

I know what they do and they are good for the site, but I've never seen them identified by a forum before. Perhaps a question for the great Eagle himself.

Anytime the google[bot], yahoo[bot], etc are listed in the users, it is because that specific bot is crawling and indexing some page in the forum. Just like a user, when they are on, they will show, when there not, they wont. It's a way to give a more accurate description of who's viewing the forums.

Quick Reply is on my to-do list, but sadly, many other things related to KJ are before it.

One youtube bbcode is for www-less links, the other is for youtube links with www.

Neat new features from phpBB. Do you have to set up something to recognize the bots or is that something that is auto built into the newest phpBB?
