for mr scott I think....

whats this locking threads malarchy- if you locked every thread with 'personal abuse' in it, you'd have to lock every thread!

Emma, please give Scott and me some time to adjust to being admins.

Believe me, we are not trying to show off our newfound power; just doing what we think is best for the forums.

Thanks!

I'm not saying anything about you krem... I've not seen you trying to abuse your power, yet.

I'll give it time though... I suppose.

You may not like a decision I make in the near future, though.

Like I said, just give it time and everything will be fine :)

Nah, I'll just move it to the Site forum, where this thread belongs.

Don't hesitate to voice your concerns, though. We're human, and we too make mistakes.

pretty sure he was speaking in general terms as to why he included himself in the request for time to get used to it. just incase "in the near future" you dont like something.
yknow.

i agree with meh though

Why was the other thread locked? Does Scott know the normal tone and joking that is done in the Water Cooler forums? None of that was any different than the norm.

I can understand an adjustment period, but it is getting a tad bizarre with the locking and name changes. I'd like to be able to enjoy myself. I don't joke with anybody that I believe would find it unacceptable.

So, how about you unlock the other one and we can get back to our fun????

Krem and Scott ("Mr. Scott"), you guys are doing a fine job so far, but if I can make a suggestion?

Krem is a frequent poster in the Water Cooler, so we haven't seen any locking from him (yet). Scott's not a frequent poster in the Water Cooler, so I'm guessing that he doesn't get that we're joking around half the time. Water Cooler is probably the stupidest section we have, hence the stupid threads (including bABA's 3,000 threads about absolutely nothing). We like it that way. So, yanno, try to limit the locking a little?

As administrators, you've got to look at the whole forum with an open mind. What might look offensive to you might not be to the rest of us. As long as no one is actually hurt or upset by a thread, or it's a duplicate, there's no reason to lock the thread, really.

Like I said in the other thread, I don't agree with Scott's move to remove mansonmyers' avatar. There was no problem with it. If the "bubble" thing is a big deal, it would have been much better to PM the poster first and politely ask them to remove/replace it instead of doing it yourself.

And, you know, us mods are here for a reason.

Just some thoughts.

Hi

When we started this forum, all of us in the moderator dept went crazy doing stuff too. over time, we adjusted. give time. and as always, voice concern here. You have 2 admins now. Appeal to a 2nd admin if you have a problem with the first. They'll sort it out between them.

Thanks again.

I only see 2 locked threads.

Zing, thanks for the input.

I already PM'ed dolce to see if she was OK with the comment Michael made. If she is (and I think she would be), I'll unlock the thread.

yeah bABA... two for silly reasons, in the space of a day, by the same person.- not having a go at you scott, just commenting flippantly

there was really no need to make such a big deal and move this thread, it was just a lighthearted comment. can we all chill a bit here and stop taking stuff so seriuosly.

What did you do with the old opinionated and at times abrasive Krem? This new - "I appreciate your comments, you are important to us, we are here to help you, etc.." - Krem isn't the Krem I know!!! I want to see you telling people to "stick it".
