I have to say i agree with pretty much all of what Zennier is saying here. Some of the things said in the thread were offensive to me and using a thread title for justification is clearly nonsense. It's not the kind of thing i expect when i come to have a good time at KJ.

There seems to be a bad feeling around the forums at the moment and it needs to be nipped in the bud. Well done for locking the thread.

And you were doing great up until the part about creating the thread. That part is not ban worthy but it does deserve to be closed. You however are rather rude in your responses to Zack when he has responded in the the most polite manner as possible. As for Chip, I wish he stopped following you but I did tell you on the PM that I could only get him to stop personally insulting you which he has. That however cannot stop him from responding to any post you make

He's on my ignore list now, but there's a glitch, as I can still see his posts like now, when I'm replying. Zack started calling me names and attacked me. Because he did so politely, it was okay? I personally didn't think it was polite.

the fundamentals of queer theory.

What is that?

Well, it's a pretty ambiguous label, so I wouldn't go so far as to narrow the definition or meaning of it, but I'd say anything that deals critically (not only directly, but that which lends itself to a discussion of) with what it means to be queer, or how "queerness" relates to society. There are several people I would associate with queer theory, too - some of them quite famous for different reasons - be it Foucault, Butler, or even people in the world of cinema, like Almodovar.

It's a relatively new brand, for sure, but the philosophical foundations of it are mature.

Well, Andrew, my apologies for offending you. I didn't even consider that there might be some transgenders here at KJ. I still think that people need to quit looking for insults instead of avoiding them when told to by the thread title.

I think the point is done here. The thread is locked and now people know.
