If things continue as is, this place will be nothing like it is now, nothing like what it could have been, and people here have no one to blame but themselves.
How some users can go around acting so rude, mean and spiteful ... well, I just don't understand it. Well, if anyone's in a position to change things, it's you considering you pretty much own the site as I understand it. I mean, I report to you when there are problems with the admin part of the site (i.e. story submission problems, etc.).

Heres the situation, the mods have sent her some friendly warnings to Korrgan over the last few weeks but she still hasnt changed her behavior. You keep referring to Lecters' thread but you are totally unaware of the thread now in the garbage bin that Korrgan had started. Dont try to pass off Korrgan's treatment of jujubee as jest because you fully know too well both of them dislike each other

RT though, I don't think I'd call it impersonal and cold. I'm new, but from what I've seen everyone is really close, even the members who don't get along. The latter being really important because it's pretty rare that arguments, etc. don't go too far or something. It seems quite mature from what I've been told and experience myself. Not really comparing RT to KJ, I'm using it to explain I've noticed, as a user, some pretty big changes here. Ive already stated enough to Mr. X. So I may be mistaken on the thread because it did read as a new thread but still given the fact she has made multiple attacks on jujubee and she had been told to knock it off a couple of times in the public forums by Nebs, she still has chosen to listen to him. Now you are asking why jujubee wasnt banned which Ive already responded to Corpse that she doesnt post in the forums anymore. Ive also told Corpse during that day when she had received the harrassing letter that disciplinary action on PMs opens up a whole can of worms which was why we originally wanted to choose the option of disabling her inbox given that she rarely even post

And BKB is one of the worst posters to ever grace RT, the thread he got banned for is the stuff of legends.

Re: few bannings 1) Someone not posting should never be a reason not to ban them. If they earned a ban, ban them for whatever length you feel fair, regardless of if they use the forum.
2) We have never moderated PM's except in extreme cases, and I agree with you, there are numerous reasons not to. As you said, disabling the PM abilities of users is the way to go if they continue to have issues and complaints logged against them.
3) As for jujubee, what she did was via PM. We don't moderate PM's. If I were still an admin in this situation, I would have disabled her ability to PM for 3-6 months and called it a day.
4) In my opinion, Korragan has entered the territory (similar to maverick and goldie) where she can be considered detrimental to the forum health. She offers a lot to the forum and she's a quality poster, but she also has a very negative and hurtful attitude at times. She's been warned and banned many times, yet I would say her detrimental effect has only worsened. Similar to mav and goldie, it's not all her fault, but she's always at the center. My question is the same as it was to Mav and Goldie: Do you want to be a member of this forum? If the answer is yes, then things need to change with her posting style.

Ever. I think he got a warning once for being involved in some stuff, but I'd say he's due for another one. He certainly is one of the rudest people here at KJ. He's not policed one-fourth as much as Korrgan is, despite the same tendencies.

Re: few bannings Regarding the Jujubee "attack", an administrator (Nebs?) must have moved all the negative posts from jujubee's birthday thread to the "trash bin" (or whatever you refer to your mod forum as), resulting in Korrgan's picture post appearing first in the new thread created to store these moved posts. Since she was the 3rd or 4th to post in Lecter's thread it would most likely be the first post removed. Whoever made that administrative move should know this clearly. Is there a clear line of communication between the "staff" members here?
Now you can say that wouldn't change the decision of Korrgan's banning, but to go around misinforming those who are curious what happened as her starting her own hate thread for Juju is being pretty careless IMO. Get your facts straight.

The administration on this site is so... funny (I'll refrain from further comment). Im just comparing the situation here. Korrgan made a mean birthday thread targetted at jujubee right after making repeated remarks about jujubee and in the past week or so she has already been told to desist from a mod but refused to do so with remarks like jujubitch Chip's remarks are mild in comparison but he knows his full limits So, not quite the way you describe it above. Regardless, Chip making comments about members not even involved has absolutely nothing to do with her comments. I made the comparison because you banned one and not the other and both made attacks on people. _________________
