I think it's a cliched piece of garbage that has bad acting (Morgan Freeman is Morgan Freeman, Tim's voice is so low and no emotion, that Tommy guy overacts and so on). It has way too many cliches (the Warden is evil, man is falsely accused, etc etc). The movie is just all around bad with a simple message but drags it on and on for 3 hours of suck. The movie could've been told in about 1.5 hours but they drag on and on to no point! The library scenes are really worthless (what's the point? To show that Norton is evil?) and the only really good scene is Brooks' suicide and I almost shed a tear. Andy digging that huge of a hole isn't realistic and he hardly ever ages! I hate this movie! Who else hates it? |
