Just curious. It won't ruin your enjoyment of a classic.

You know those crazy ones. I always go with Back to the Future Part III, they could have got gasoline from the Delorean Doc stored for Marty in 1955. And the simple fact that gasoline is made through distillation and he already made an ice cube maker through steam, whole film Doc drops the ball, but I love the movie.

Someone just said the Martian, the spends all this time on him arriving to the next location. obviously if he was alive, they could have created a vehicle to go pick him up on the next mission.

And Of course the Terminator Sarah/Reese/John. The Quintessential chicken and egg, but rather meaningless to the plot of the first three anyway.

Cypher meeting Agent Smith, there’s nobody to get him in/out if he’s in The Matrix

The board in Titanic. It was big enough for the two of them but I guess that wouldn't have had the same emotional impact.

This one, which is not so much a plot hole as much as poorly explained. It is not egregious, nor does it detract from the suspension of disbelief. However, in the Hobbit films they are used poorly and they do feel duex ex machina there.

Sauron would've (literally) seen it coming, understood their plan and immediately sent all his Nazguls on steroids to get them. If the eagle carrying the ring fell or the ring itself fell off it would land in Mordor with thousands of orcs everywhere, and then it would be in Sauron's possession again. Way too risky. It had to be carried there in total secrecy because Sauron never expected them to try to destroy it in the first place.

I don't think it's a deus ex machina at all. Gandalf was the only one who really knew anything about Hobbits and he understood that they had special almost magical camouflage abilities and also the least susceptible to be corrupted by the ring. Bilbo was a great case study because he'd had it for so long and he was able to let it go (albeit with a brief struggle but it was nothing compared to how crazy any other race would've gone). I think Gandalf always intended for Frodo to carry it for that reason, and he OK'd the other Hobbits coming because knew he'd need another of his kind to help him since any other race would've tried to kill him for it eventually.

EDIT: Completely misunderstood your post LOL. Yes The Hobbit movies are a mess.

To be fair, I always found that sloppy. Frodo and Bilbo maybe, but the hobbits in general were always giving away positions and were loud. It’s just a nice non racist way to say that little people are quieter. I can forgive it a little more as the baggins I guess were the purest of hearts not to be swayed by the ring because they are a simpler people (lol again not the most subtle)

The T-1000 only runs when John is in a vehicle. Walks the rest of the time. Fucking run, dude, and the film is over in half the time.

But I forgive it.
