Everyone knows Franco is a creep and he's used his fame to bed lots of impressionable young women. He's definitely sketchy but nothing here seems worthy of outrage. I'm all for believing victims, but that Franco girlfriend is a joke. Apparently her Twitter feed has numerous ridiculous tweets of what kind of person she is. I am quite disgusted by the number of hanger-ons delegitimizing actual victims. |

I can see where the lines are somewhat blurry between sexual assault and "just a weird sex guy", but it will be hard to look at Aziz the same way again after reading this https://babe.net/2018/01/13/aziz-ansari-28355 Plus no way that's an isolated incident and there was already some twitter posts about him when Spacey happened. I understand the need to not jump to conclusions, I really do. It's hard to digest all this properly. But as wrong as it is to believe any and every testimony, on any crime or indiscretion, it's just as wrong to immediately jump to "Well she could be lying too". This is what I've read a lot about Eliza Dushku's claims. I don't have a definitive take on the claims, no one should except for the involved parties. And that's where things get really fucking tricky. I think it's fair to be cautious, but I think taking the immediate stance of "Well let's not forget it may not be true" is more damaging than believing any and every accusation. It fosters a poisonous environment where people don't want to speak up for fear of being labelled a liar, just because there isn't undeniable evidence. I'm sorry I keep spouting off about all this, it never leads to anywhere good, but just wanted to add my two cents. Which at this point must have added up into dollar territory. |

Yeah, I remember reading some non-specific posts on Twitter about Aziz when the Spacey stuff broke so yeah probably will be more shit hitting the fan there. I definitely believe the Dushku stuff, especially since her guardian on the set confirmed she told FOX about her concerns back in 94. The dude's response was a little weird too. |
