Just finished watching King Arthur: Legend of the Sword. I'm surprised by the polar opposite reception of WW and KA, especially considering KA is IMHO better in every single possible way you could compare the two. So it's definitely one of the year's more underrated flicks. |

Valerian is going straight into the record books as a case study in underrated movies - it's simply far too good for current audiences who have been trained to expect crap. Kidnap is also an easy addition to my underrated list - Rotten Tomatoes has it at 40% and many reviewers start off by saying it's a terrible movie, but then finish by saying they had a great time watching it. B-movie thrillers get no respect anymore - it takes a great deal of craftmanship to make one as well constructed as Kidnap is. |

I can see that for Valerian |

The latest addition to my 2017 underrated list is Nut Job 2: Nutty By Nature. I realize Disney/Pixar cloying sweetness is in fashion right now, but I still find it hard to believe how hostile people have become to Looney Tunes style snarky humor. It was the gold standard amongst my compatriots back in the day. |

If Justice League wasn't so relentlessly mediocre, I would have added it to my 2017 underrated list. |

Valerian for sure. I've been telling folks to see it left and right and no one wants to give it a chance. |

At least Valerian is better than Justice League. |

Pirates: Dead Men Tell No Tales - had some script issues but did a good job of capturing the fun and humor of the series. Doesn't deserve 29% on RT at all |

Ingrid Goes West, which should honestly be up for Golden Globes and Oscar nominations. It's a brilliant movie. |

A Cure for Wellness for sure. By critics. By general moviegoers. I will die being one of the five people singing its praises to the heavens. American Made also pops into my head. It performed respectably enough, I guess, but I feel it deserved more attention. Also: T2 Trainspotting (at least in America), Berlin Syndrome, Brad's Status, Free Fire, and Killing Ground. |

The Greatest Showman certainly deserves a fresh score at Rotten Tomatoes. Probably at least an 80%, IMO. |
