Two movies I dug have become the two most popular movies to bash on the internet.

Vote now! Justice League vs The Last Jedi!

Last Jedi. JL is easier to bash, but you don't get any counter-culture points since nobody really loved the movie.

Jedi easily. Almost everyone was indifferent to Justice League.

THE LAST JEDI is a great film which is receiving stupendous word of mouth. It does, however, commit the ultimate sin much like THE FORCE AWAKENS.

When they make these much belated sequels to beloved original films, the new film can do many things and go many direction. The one thing that it CANNOT do is fuck with the outcomes of the original films! This will no doubt piss off many fans. THE FORCE AWAKENS was lame enough as is given that it nullified much of the OT - the 3 characters all ended up alone essentially where they stated ANH at. Their victory against the Empire was clearly short lived as was their happiness. It's easy to see why new fans would get upset at this regardless of how good THE FORCE AWAKENS was on its own. All of the character development for Luke, Leia, and Han in the OT was largely for naught. Nobody can look at the OT films the same knowing what ultimately becomes of the characters.

THE LAST JEDI is a much stronger film than THE FORCE AWAKENS overall, but it also inherently less rewatchable and commits the same sin to Luke fucking Skywalker for most of the film. Yes, in the end, Luke gets some redemption - but what could have been a rousing "motivated Luke is back on board" ending is ruined when he randomly dies. The awesomeness of the moment we realize that Kylo Res hasn't killed him and Luke has become even more powerful is nullified by the fact that simply facing KR actually does, indeed, kill him.

It is respectable that TLJ clearly decides to tell Rey's story, but they absolutely should have found a way to do so without shitting on Luke Skywalker for most of the film and then killing him when he finally redeems himself. Luke's death should have waited until the end of episode 9 no fucking doubt.

Then again, most SW fans are hypocrites anyway. Did Luke's rise tarnish Vader's legacy? Why Yoda just chilling on Day-go-bah instead of helping the rebellion? If ghost Yoda can blow fucking trees up, why can't he blow the fucking Starkiller base up?? Where is Vader's badass jedii ghost??

Obviously JL! There were visual fuck ups by the studios for fans to bash at forever.

Debating 1 of 100 points proves nothing. It is easy to see why die hards upset.

I think JL did ok quality wise, Jedi did fine.

I think most are forgetting Guardians 2. That film should have been such a slam dunk, and it was a not a double play, but an in ground rule double.

Guardians 2 was a muddled mess that tries so hard to be funny

But it isn't popular to be bashed. Most moviegoers are not critics and it is easy to make them happy.

Yeah, fans are not bashing Star Junky and the Misfits Find Disco Daddy Volume 2

I have definitely seen more RANT videos on YouTube for TLJ than JL, so I'd say TLJ is the most bashed.
