 Re: David Fincher in talks to direct World War Z 2!! I love the originals too but ended up preferring the US version slightly. My ratings for the Swedish films were A- for the first, I think a B+ for the second, and a B for the third. Something like that. I feel the latter two could be improved upon but I still highly enjoyed the trilogy as a whole. I do believe sequels will happen but possibly without Fincher, Craig, and Mara, which would suck. At the very least the cast should return.

Most likely if they decide to make a sequel (and not reboot it) 2020 is the earliest I see. That's nearly 10 years later. The cast would look much older so I doubt there's even a slight possibility of the cast coming back. They're more likely to re-do the whole thing. And hopefully spend reasonable amount of money this time.

Re: David Fincher in talks to direct World War Z 2!! A 2 looks similar to a Z, so I hope they don't call it World War Z 2. And using a subtitle would make it look generic as fuck. Not sure how they will do this without it coming off as looking crap. Would be funny if they just went with World War 2. Or maybe they will market it as simply WWZ: 2.

Re: David Fincher in talks to direct World War Z 2!! I was having a discussion with someone on Facebook about this. They said to make this sequel isn't Fincher's style. But he made Alien 3 for Pete's sake! Then they said that was his first film, then he developed his style, and this choice is not his style. But, why is he in talks to make it if it's not his style then? Obviously the real Fincher has been hidden from us over the years. The real Fincher makes sequels to already popular films.
