I got the audible book and enjoyed it. Armie Hammer did a nice job narrating. I'm looking forward to the film and in regards to the book I was so surprised at how graphic it was. I did not expect that.

I have the audio book coming from the library and I'll ask for it for Christmas.

They can be, but just as people will compare and rank Star Wars: The Last Jedi to the previous seven Star Wars movies, I compare and rank Call Me By Your Name to all other gay movies, and the best of them at the moment is Brokeback Mountain.

Hearing Visions of Gideon over the end scene will be the death of me. Both songs are lovely and I can't wait to hear them in the film. Hoping both get nominated.

It's a conservative site. Obviously they're against it if for no other reason than it being a gay relationship. And the age is 24 not 25 . Comparing this to the thing with Spacey or assault allegations is ridiculous. Spacey forced himself on Rapp (who was 14). Nobody preys on anyone in this story and nothing happens against anyone's consent. Was there a fuss over the relationship between a 36 year-old woman and 15 year-old boy in The Reader? Nope because it was a heterosexual relationship. Oh and of course because the woman was older. Had it been a 36 year-old man and 15 year-old girl it would have been a bigger deal. Oh wait, that basically happens in An Education. Nobody was up in arms over that. Then there's Dirty Dancing, a 17 year-old girl and 25 year-old man. That's considered a classic and was a gigantic success. The relationship in CMBYN is pure and innocent and lovely. It's also totally legal.

My hope is that the controversy only creates more buzz for it and makes it an even bigger hit . A great film is a great film. It shouldn't get overlooked due to poor timing.
