Hammer and Gyllenhaal seem like the best picks from that lot.

I mean, they've halted most everything, and are going much slower than they probably expected to. Which is a GREAT thing. Stop rushing. And a rewrite of the whole film is great, because you don't want to keep touching up the same script over and over...

But who TF would hire that guy? He's done next to nothing. The only movie already released written by him was awful. King Arthur doesn't inspire hope.

Somebody on twitter said that Matt Reeves was at the top of the shortlist of possible directors. If that turned out to be true it would be pretty dope, but I'm not buying it just yet.

Variety has mentioned Reeves already.

Well this is either him being tired of being asked about it, or WB reacting to the direction of his most recent film.

WB heads are fucking up the DC universe. Which is unbelievable cause their TV dept is KILLING it.

I've heard the script isn't in great shape and Ben and WB are at odds about the best way forward. Ben dropped out to maintain the relationship in the future.

This sounds about in line with everything he's said. He's always said the script is a WIP.

I really think depending on the reception to Justice League and to some degree Wonder Woman will decide if Affleck chooses to completely abandon ship or not. Forbes has already stated that he was considering walking away and honestly by the end of this year I wouldn't be surprised if he did. Warner Bros is such a fucking mess as a studio right now.

Man, what would happen to Aquaman if Ben dropped out of Batman? We'd get WW, then JL... but then nothing. The DCEU would be done. They'd have to completely start over. I mean, they can always go the DC Rebirth route...
