Gylenhaal did Aquaman 2 after Vincent Chase was fired.

Still counts for Ryan Gosling cause he wasn't in the first BR. :P
also BR 2049 is not superhero movie

Being in the first was never part of Thegun's query. Thegun said "big sequel". No mention of genre.

WB is supposedly trying to get Mel Gibson to sign on to direct Suicide Squad 2. Lol what

Unfortunately, the producers have chosen not to go with a great director like Gibson to direct the sequel, but instead are considering Jaume Collet-Serra who gave the world Paris Hilton's version of House of Wax.

Jaume can be pushed around, Gibson cannot be.

On a unrelated point, is the Fantastic Four appearing in Infinity War?

Bring back Keaton! Finally do what WB has wanted to do for 20 years.

Casey Affleck. All in the family and an even sadder Batman.

Affleck said he's still Batman (present tense) and expressed enthusiasm for Matt Reeves but lord knows what's really going down. There's zero chance WB or the actor would confirm an exit before Justice League opens, they've got enough problems with adding a lame duck Batman to them. It really could go either way.

Doubt it will happen but Stallone's Starhawk team could get their own film.

Post Re: Marvel/DC/Comic Book Movie Discussion
Two separate Joker films are in the works: an origin story directed by Todd Phillips (yes, that Todd Phillips) and produced by Martin Scorsese (yes, that Martin Scorsese); and a Harley Quinn/Joker story, directed by Glenn Ficarra and John Requa.

The Harley Quinn story makes sense. An origin story for The Joker is just unnecessary. Unless it's a 100 minute movie that for 98 minutes shows the character with a completely normal life, there's nothing they can do that isn't predictable.

I would look forward to any villain origin story, but I'd imagine it's difficult to make any such character likeable.

There are millions of people that root for villains anyway, so there is definitely interest. I do not think the point is to make the villain likable.

Anyway, I would be down for a Joker origin, but anything with Quinn can just fuck off.

Are we sure the origin story isn't just The Killing Joke from a new perspective?

I’m guessing Fox & Disney are talking. Maybe Disney told Fox they are planning on moving Solo to later date. If not that’s bold move from Fox.

Yes - while we don't know which films will get slotted in (and im sure most will still be successful) it does seem it will be post peak for comic book films.
