I’m agree with that completely. Annakin as they always say mor Shakespearean, so he had an arc. Ren has a lot of movement and goes nowhere with, He has killed Han Solo, Snoke, and basically Luke, and his role still hasn’t been defined |

I predict that Episode IX will be yet another derivative and Disneyfied insult to the Star Wars legacy. |

David Beinoff and Dan Weiss (Game of Thrones show runners) have been hired for the next SW trilogy or series of films (perhaps the same trilogy that Rian Johnson was going to create but not confirmed). These will have nothing to do with the Skywalker saga. |

Nothing at all? That is a bold move. So this is when the box office fortunes will seriously dwindle. Having that 40 year nostalgia is so important for these films to do well. Ok, it will still have the brand name, but its the characters that people show up for. |

These will have nothing to do with the Skywalker saga. It’s separate from the Saga series & Rian Johnson’s trilogy. So we are getting 3 different sets of film/movie series. Also Disney CEO also said they are working on multiple sets of tv series. #TAKEMYMONEYNOW!!! |

Well, they're certainly not afraid of the potential of franchise burnout...I'll give them that. |

It looks like Disney will be happy with collecting $600-$800m WW for there films (after IX) going forward. That would also be because they just want a slew of SW films to put up on their streaming service. In the 38 years before 2015 - there were only 6 SW films in existence. By next year there will be 11. By 2025 wouldnt be surprised if that jumped up to 15 SW films. |

Disney doesn't need the spinoffs to always make a billion worldwide. It'd be great but it's not necessary just like it wasn't/isn't necessary with Marvel films. Also, these new films will be a great building block to their streaming service along with all the other properties/brands they have. Obviously I'm gonna have to subscribe to this thing since I'm sure it will also have original Star Wars content you can't get elsewhere like that Star Trek show on CBS All Access (though I haven't subbed to that yet). |

Disney is turning what was known for years as the king box office franchise into just any other franchise. Its grosses will look no different than whatever Marvel or Fast movie is playing also that summer. Never again will you Star Wars fans get excitement for anticipating a new chapter in the saga. A 6-month wait is not nearly enough time for build-up as Lucas' ten year and fifteen year waits were. |

Um. You can watch the films every 10 or 15 years. I'm glad we don't have to wait 10+ years for new content. |

If given a choice no fanbase wants to wait 10-15 years for the next installment of something they really love. Thank god I was born in the right time. OT,PT,ST, anthology, future trilogies, animated & live tv series |

Harrison Ford was in his early 70's when he came back. And he actually did a decent amount of action. I doubt Billy Dee would do much action. I don't think his age will matter. |
