If Ben Affleck had delivered an Oscar-worthy performance in Surviving Christmas, he probably still would've gotten a razzie.

All the razzies are good for now is to gauge who the tabloid's current favourite whipping boys are. I miss the days they actually celebrated terrible cinema instead of just hitching a ride to notoriety on the back of some poor overexposed celebrity.

Jennifer Garner won't get a nod, because people will have forgotten it by then. If I'm to assume this will "garner" (oh, silly me) an early DVD release, and that people were generally underwhelmed, enough to forget this movie as well, Razzies will go for the most recent movies, no doubt, along with all bad summer flicks.

RE:2 went beyond just the sex appeal. Actually the ad campaign concentrated more on Milla kicking ass than anything else. Underworld, while Kate was in a leather outfit didn't really emphasis much on it (did you notice any out of the ordinary movements from kate to emphasize her physique? I thought not).

You made your first few good points of the year bABA! :D I agree that movies that try to sell themselves on sex appeal alone fail miserably. That was Catwoman's main problem, they pushed the sex appeal WAY too hard. Catwoman is constantly trying to sway her hips in front the camera or stand in awkward poses where she pushes her breasts out toward the camera. It ultimately looks very silly. Whereas a movie like Underworld, Kate Beckinsale is sexy, but it's understated.

The sex factor should take a backseat to the story and action. If somebody could combine all 3 elements in perfect harmony and package it into a female superhero movie, I think you'd have a hit. Unfortunately, as ROID pointed out, I don't think there are any female superhero's left in Marvel or DC's bag that hasn't been destroyed yet. Although they could always make a movie based on Shirtless Girl from the Bob and Tom show.
