How bout it? I mean, it's not THAT hard. For foreign films, it could actually take a lot of effort because we can't all get to see those movies, but independent films are pretty easy. Maybe we pick one movie per weekend, and everyone has the week to rent it and we can all watch and discuss it?

I don't know. Just an idea.

I would answer but I have a policy not to reply when the person asking the question lists a bunch of bad movies as their favorite of the year. I bet Zingaling is already in line for Christmas with the Kranks

Oh yes, I already bought my ticket for Kranks. Looks like the best movie of 2004 material.

Is this only for those in the states, because in essence, it would be the same thing if I tried to pick up an independent film that was made in another country! It would be a foreign film, much like the festival that most of these threads are about!

Or, do you perhaps mean that we pick an independent film from our said area and then try to discuss it! But, that may prove hard because how can we discuss it if everyone doesn't watch the same film?

I have just royally confused myself! :? :?: :?

Well, we can all decide on a movie. A movie that almost everyone can get a hold of, and dedicate one night to watching it. Then, we can all discuss it. We don't ALL have to watch the same movie. Different ones. I don't know myself really, it's just a thought to get this section going.

Ok, cool! Sounds like a plan!

I'd be up for it!

Actually, I am taking the weekend off to try and catch up on some films for the respective foreign movie genres I said I was interested in!

Looks like everyone just sort of deserted the place except for poor Dolce and one or two others!

Guess everyone's just really engaged at the moment!

Miru, see Cane Toads (Documentary). Its about the introduced species in Australia, so something tells me you might be able to get your hands on it. Its hilarious and one of my favorites. We'll discuss it.

Note how the bottom reads "If Monty Python produced a National Geographic Special, it would be Cane Toads."

Ta Dolce. I'll give it a watch soon enough! You'd be proud to know that I took the weekend off and watched some movies for the festivals!

I'll be back later this week to discuss them!
