Y Tu Mama Tambien (gosh, he was so much better than Diego Luna; that guy bothers me) and The Motorcycle Diaries were both fantastic. I *really* need to be renting Bad Education...

YAAAY

He looks so.... meh.

I probably would've enjoyed The Terminal or *shudder* Dirty Dancing 2 more if it was Gael in there. But it's better that it was Diego Luna so I can despise those flicks even more.

I've never seen him do anything in English. He's that annoying?

I liked him fine in Y Tu Mama....

He was okay in Y Tu Mama, in his English movies... he's just bizarre, lol.

Hmm, I'll send Christian a PM; maybe we can host a Latin one? I haven't seen anything out of Spain, so dar might have to help. I won't be able to see a movie until Wednesday... I just got my Netflix today, and with the turnaroud... *Sigh*

I'm looking forward to cohosting with someone!

Dot the I is really bad. Despite his performance being the best thing that came out of that movie. The twist serves no purpose to the plot, and the plot is just idiotic. The films screenplay was also dreadful.

Bad Education was really heartfelt and his performance was great.

Motorcycle Diaries is one of the best biopics i have seen in recent memory.

The Crime of Padre Amaro was a let down.

I am yet to see Mama, but my Peruvian friend said it wasn't good.

Amores Perros is the best of his career.

Amores Perros - A
Motorcycle Diaries - A-
Bad Education - B
The Crime of Padre Amaro - C-
Dot the I - D

I think he is finally making some better english movies.

y Tu Mama Tambien is a *fantastic* movie... far from a bad one. The best performance, however, comes from Ana Lopez Mercado. Gael is good, but I liked him better in Amores Perros....

Hm... I think you could say I've developed a little thing for him.
He's a fantastic actor, though, really.

I just finished The Crime of Padre Amaro, which I thought wasn't great, but mildly effective because of the good performances.
Dot the I was.. bad. Had some interesting things, but I found the whole thing just a big mess. And I couldn't stand the female lead, or any of the characters, yeesh.
Oh, and I finally got around to watching Bad Education again... its definatly my favorite Almodovar film.

Ratings of all the movies I've seen...:

Babel - A
The Science of Sleep - A
Bad Education -A
Amores Perros - A
Y Tu Mama Tambien - A/A-
The Motorcycle Diaries - A-
The Crime of Padre Amaro - B-
Dot the I - C-/D+

Favorite performance... Bad Education.

I've seen Babel, Y Tu Mama Tambien, The Motorcycle Diaries and Bad Education of his.

I definitely loved The Motorcycle Diaries the most. In fact, that movie had quite a profound effect on me.

Peace,
Mike.

1. Amores Perros
2. Y Tu Mamá También

Amores Perros is a good movie. Y Tu Mamá También's not bad either, but I only remember the sex scene.

Not seen any more of his.
