Saw this film in class today. Has anyone else seen it? What were your thoughts? I actually really liked it, but I know since I was in a class that provided the interpretation in advance (Renoir's paintings), that others might feel differently. The plot was kind of expected, but the twist is interesting in light of some of the stuff Auguste used to say about women and his models. And yes, the whole film really did look like some of Auguste's earlier paintings. Jean did a fantastic job making it his own, though.

Has anyone read his father/son biography?
