Yes, I did and wrote some thoughts in the review thread. Looking back, the visual is still great, but the weakness in story became more glaring. |

I loved Curse of the Golden Flower (A-). After renting it, I ended up buying it. In my Top 5 of 2006, along with Pan's Labyrinth (A+), Children of Men (A), Babel (A-), and Dead Man's Chest (B+). Gong Li is one of my favorite actresses, and she's great in this. Easily my favorite character from the film. I didn't like it as much as Hero (A+) or House of Flying Daggers (A) though. Those two films are easily on my top of all time list. I really like the ending for Curse. |

Quite good, but overall just quite boring. I did learn some useful Chinese though. Gong Li was fantastic, and gorgeous. Hero was better. Not seen House of Flying Daggers yet. |
