Really need to watch Parasite, 1917, and The Irishman.

Ford v Ferrari seems boring as hell to me, I have zero interest in racing; Little Women is zzzzz; Marriage Story is zzzz and I can't stand Scarlett Johansson.

Parasite
1917
Jojo Rabbit
Little Women
Once Upon a Time... in Hollywood
Marriage Story
The Irishman

I'll definitely watch Marriage Story, maybe The Irishman but probably not. Definitely won't see Jojo Rabbit or Parasite. I might see 1917 or Little Women if a friend asked to go. If the library has Hollywood I'd watch it.

Cuz it won't be on video before the Oscars and I'm not gonna arrange a trip to the theater and none of my friends are gonna ask me to see it with them.

It's out on digital now and will be out on video before the end of the month.

Yeah Parasite has been out in home media. Plus its releasing on Discs on Jan 28. I use https://www.dvdsreleasedates.com/ to check the latest release dates (most movies are out in home media 2 weeks prior to their DVD release date).

I saw Parasite in the theater. And I plan to see it again. I usually see movies that I like more than once to have a thorough understanding. But I prefer to see most movies (esp. movies with substance) in a quiet setting in which I can pause, rewind, repeat, view and dissect them in every way I want. I can sit in my own comfort without having to compete for good seats (front 4 and back 3 rows are no-no for me).

this is becoming very off topic but.....irrespective of if you see it in a theater or at home, I literally wanna throw up at the idea of watching a movie for the first time and purposefully rewinding it before I even finish.

for future viewings fine but every movie, the bad to the good, is designed to be watched from start to end in one-go. it's a disrespect to the creators to pause and rewind without going through it once as designed.

So no bathroom breaks? Sometimes I miss a dialogue or a piece of information on the screen and I hit "rewind". Sometimes we pause a movie to talk and guess what will come next and it is fun. I don't put strict rules on how to properly watch a movie. As long as it does not disrupt my comfort, it is fine.

I try not to rewind, because if it's a movie I actually want to see, I try to remove as many distractions as possible.

And also, yes, I don't even remember the last time I took a bathroom break in the theater. 20 years ago?

piss/shit before. I legit haven't taken a bathroom break in theaters since I was a little kid.

pausing is something I can understand just cause emergencies come up though it would legit have to be an emergency. but rewinding? i dont think there are many rules in watching a movie, but rewinding is one I would say is a strong no-no for me for a first time viewing.

Subtitles too fast? The content of a letter on the screen? A building's name? License plate? Easter eggs? Many curiosities that could make me want to hit the rewind button.

Sometimes when you may miss a piece of important detail, rewinding can help you understand the movie.

And don't forget that the giant buckets of popcorn have more than one use.
