Yeah I don't see how Phoenix loses. Even people who hated the film praise him. The ONLY thing that may hold him back is that Ledger won it for the same role.

Way too low on Driver. He is still a potential winner. I think Sandler is also a long shot right now, he is kind of Ethan Hawke of this year where critics will go for Uncut Gems but it still feels like a no nomination movie

And is that Pitt for Ad Astra? Nah. Or did you mean to write DiCaprio

Jaquin is a huge favorite right now, but would anybody be that surprised if he was just completely snubbed? It's a fascinating best actor race this year.

So weird Irishman is such a frontrunner and De Niro is getting no noms.

Gut is tellling me he's getting in but it's such a crowded slot.

I mean they did award someone else for the same role 10 years ago but his performance is so committed and the film was such a pop culture moment that it'd be a real WTF moment.

Happy it seems like Egerton may happen. Sad Sandler isn't gonna get in, wtf. That would be a welcome surprise.

Lineup likely is Phoenix, Driver, DiCaprio, Egerton and I guess Christian Bale? Or Deniro.
