White people being forgiven for racism genre has 3 wins this decade. 4 in the century.

Though I was hoping that would help the movie I wanted to win so whatevers. Mission Impossible Fallout is the real best picture.

All in all, these wins were fine. Glad that Black Panther, A Star is Born, and Spike Lee didn't steal the night.

I'm happy Green Book won. It's not a white enlightenment movie, Tony learns how to be more sensitive from Don a lot more than he learns how to be less racist. There will be a lot of complaints, but Ali's Shirley is one of the most complex black characters in years. Nothing wrong with that.

The whole thing seemed fine without a host. No reason to have one anymore, IMO.

Now lets get rid of song performances and voila, a ceremony under three hours.

That would also help Groucho to keep track of things without the necessity of taking cholinesterase inhibitors or memantine.

I just saw the first 20 minutes of Black Panther. It's a much more grounded film than other Marvel entries. It made sense to me how it got nominated.

I also saw The Wife yesterday. It does not spell out the characters' inner thoughts and asks audiences to put themselves in their shoes and fill in the blank. A complex and well-acted film.

Gaga and Olivia winning were the best moments of the night.

LOL at Green Book winning. I guess we should have seen it coming, it was the safest choice.

I thought the show was fine and moved along but I still want and prefer to have a host.
Amy Maya and Tina should have hosted.
Billy Porter should have hosted.
Julia Roberts should have hosted.
Aubrey Plaza should have hosted. It's endless.
I liked the musical performances.
I wasn't a fan of random presenters for the best picture nominees no matter how much I enjoy Serena.
I don't like how they switched up the presenters of the acting categories to the duo nonsense.
In memoriam was fine.
The costumer design presenters were funny.
Awkwafina paired with that unfunny guy was a shame. She could have hosted.
I'm glad Spike finally has an Oscar, now he can hopefully be quiet.
I was very happy that Cicely Tyson got an honorary Oscar though I would liked to have seen those individuals honored at the actual ceremony with a round of applause maybe.
Avengers should have won visual effects.
Glenn Close losing says the Academy doesn't like her and that makes me fear for Amy Adams now.

Is Green Book's score though more influenced by critics opinion of the director, Viggo and questions over it's accuracy vs it's quality.
