I kept telling people I thought Pawel could get into Director but wasn't ballsy enough to actually predict it. So congrats Price for actually going for it. The ballsiest I was willing to go was Toni Collette.

Here are my predictions. It would honestly be a miracle if Toni Collette is nominated but for the hell of it I'm going to predict her anyway. She could get a lot of #1 passion votes. I mean those who want her to get in are likely putting her in first because they know she needs the help and many do think she gives the performance of the year (myself included). It's just going to be hard being that A24 didn't campaign at all, it's a horror film, etc... Thanks, but I saw his name in a few sites and if taking into consideration past editions, it seems that the directing branch is the one most likely to have some surprises. I figured because he already won the foreign picture Oscar in 2013, plus being filmed in black and white and the good critical reception that it had a chance and was lucky to get it right this time. Didn't work out for best actress though. |
