Every year there are one or two awards season films I'm really not interested in but will watch because I try and see all of the films. I will say sometimes I'm pleasantly surprised by them, so there is that. But as of now I'm dreading Darkest Hour. I think it looks like such a bore. Every time I see the trailer at the theater I find myself tuning it out. Phantom Thread WAS another one based on one viewing of the trailer. However I saw the trailer again in front of Lady Bird and thought it looked more interesting. I'm still not excited for it but am not dreading it like I was initially. What is everyone else's? I can already see most saying Call Me By Your Name. I know that will be Algren's . |

Great thread, and you're wrong about mine. I dread watching Lady Bird, The Post, The Florida Project and The Shape of Water. |

Phantom Thread. Trailer makes me think the first yawn will already come during the company logo. |

I don't even plan on watching Phantom Thread, so did not include it. |

Yeah, I'd say most Oscar contenders are usually not appealing to me, that I put off on watching them far past their release, years later often. |

Interesting, I thought it more of an comedy-indie project, that might get some of a cult-following as well and not a huge film in any regard. |

Franco has a great shot at being nominated. I just can't imagine someone being interested if they haven't seen The Room. It would be much funnier if you had. |

It does fulfill the Oscar "industry self love" requirement. |

OK, and why are you most dreading to watching it? I find generally dread watching a comedy the least (well if its at least half decent budgeted). Did you think The Room was crap and you don't want to be reminded of it? |
