Poor Beatty - wasn't even his fault, ha. He definitely knew something was amiss.

Yes, it was obvious from his flabbergasted expression.

It wasn't Beatty who said La La Land, it was Dunaway.

Definitely partially his fault by not reading the freaking envelope correctly

Definitely a bit both of their faults....for not knowing that Emma Stone didn't produce La La Land.

Imagine if they announced Moonlight as the winner and then switched to La La Land.

?? They gave him the wrong envelope. Why would he have reason to think they could mess that up? He didn't even announce the winner - Faye did.

So, we conclude that #OscarsSoWhite worked a treat. Well done.

That was the most shocking and surreal thing I've ever seen at the Oscars. The moment was SO. INCREDIBLY. awkward and cringeworthy. I can't even think about it without cringing!

It is sad that this will now be the story of the Oscars, and not the winner (who in my opinion shouldn't have won but nonetheless did).

Look at the winning card. Beatty didn't read the fuck ing card. It would said best actress at the bottom in small print as we saw with the winning card for moonlight. Faye clearly saw la la land in bold and ran with it cuz beatty was teasing Iike a mother and not announcing it was the wrong ass card.

Shameful

Lol that was such an EPIC! screw up. That and fucking Suicide Squad winning an Oscar were easily the highlights of tonight.

I think La La Land winning was the ending that most would have preferred.

Colossal screw up at the end aside (or because of, depending on your perspective), this was a pretty entertaining show. Good music, a few surprises, a funny running gag, and a few good shots at Trump.

I'm just happy that Kevin O'Connell finally got an Oscar after 21 nominations, but they should check his envelope too, just in case.
