LOL, that's awesome. Scorsese's Silence is dead or what? So is Eastwood's Sully. |

Yeah, nothing new, except for the top 9 solidifying themselves. |

But this is PGA going back to what they used to do anyway - nominating films just for being huge box-office success stories that defied expectations. Do you think Deadpool deserves a nom less than Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone or My Big Fat Greek Wedding (which made it with only five slots!)? |

Deadpool is a shock, but a welcome one. And really nothing else matters as long as La La Land wins. Hidden Figures, Fences, and Moonlight are included everywhere this year (incl. probably the Oscars) because of last year's ruckus regarding lots of white nominees. Hopefully next year it gets back to normal, because there is no way that Sully and Allied should be snubbed. |

You do realize, though, that Allied would have not been a contender in any given year in the past, right? |

Sure. Even the white members can make mistakes. |

Awesome for Deadpool. It'd sure pump up the AMC Best Picture marathon if that made the cut. Silence is dead. Golden but dead. Is it pretty likely we get 8-10 films in the Best PIcture slot this year? The love for the films seems pretty spread out this time. |
