Enough of Isabelle.
Lily seems to be that critics' award favorite that will never get in the actual race.

In my review here on KJ, I wrote: Quote: Isabelle Huppert is the tour de force that Elle orbits around, without her gravity all the other characters will spin off into the void.

When I went to copy my review, I noticed he wrote: thompsoncory wrote: this is literally only worth seeing for a good (if not year-best) performance from Isabelle Huppert. However, I brought it up in this thread in order to develop the discussion with thompsoncory in relation to awards season.

Re: Boston Society of Film Critics winners
I don't think Elle is a good movie and her performance is in the 'fine, but overrated' camp for me alongside Natalie in Jackie.
Emma, Annette, Amy, Jessica Chastain, etc. are all stronger this year so it's frustrating to me that those two keep dominating these things.
