You could even remove a few of those qualifiers and he still wouldn't be considered. He is playing Wolverine. He is playing Wolverine for the ninth time. He is playing Wolverine for the ninth time and his performance was DDL-level. He's playing Wolverine, and that's enough for him not to be nominated. But there are LOADS of reasons why he won't be. |

The thing is, we all know that when Jackman is nominated for Best Actor at, say, the Boca Raton Film Festival or some other insignificant awards do, because you have not specifically stipulated in the opening post that the nomination is an Oscar nomination, you'll attempt to claim victory. |

I can see him getting a Globe nomination if it is particularly great, but I wonder if Logan would be under the comedy/ musical category. It would have to be I'd think. At the end of the day. You could say the same thing about Stallone playing Rocky for the 7th time, and looked like the forerunner for the Academy Award. And with Reynolds getting recognition for shaking up the genre, Logan could very well do the same thing. |
